I'm coming off fine in here, you sound crazy is all. How is it Joe's fault Drake didn't have songs ready, like he did with Meek? If Budden waited and that happened people would say he's a fool. If he don't wait and drops multiple diss records people say he's desperate. I don't even like Budden but some of yall only want this to go one way.

Fred.

Are we serious here?

So Joe Budden hears that Drake is supposed to diss him on a French Montana son. Instead of waiting, he gets Pro active and gets it rolling by dissing Drake first and keeps going at him

Turns out Joe is right and Drake actual does throw some Jabs at Budden which means it's fair game, right?

But somehow Budden is lame because he didn't just sit there and let the most popular rapper out diss him without saying something? :what:

I wouldn't take action UNTIL the diss actually came out. For all we know it could of just been rumors.

But the diss actually came out.

I didn't see a thread about that Drake track until now. I would of missed it if I didn't read the entire thread name.

but Drake himself is into the rap shyt. Thats the thing and thats what Joe is trying to bring out of him. Drake might be a pop star but when you see him early in his career he was into battle rappers and even guys like Budde. Joe is basically saying stop with the gay pop shyt and engage in this rap shyt. Joe knows Drake's fans don't care but Drake does, thats why he disses Joe in the first place and has nikkas writing his rhymes. He wants people to think he's nice with the rhymes
Joe is soley dissing drake,to gather attention his music alone could never bring him . Because he's never been known for making great music. The podcast was just bait to help joe's struggling career

The snippet already came out and it was obvious drake was taking shots

also, drake didn't wait until Meek actually dissed him with a song, so :yeshrug:

Joe has always had a solid fanbase and even people who don't listen to Budden that much (like me) recognize he is a good rapper. And considering that its now been confirmed that Drake was dissing Joe on No Shopping, it's pretty arrogant to keep insisting Joe is solely dissing Drake to help his career. Its not like he is randomly targeting Drake. Yeah he said that shyt in his podcast but Joe gossips about a lot of muhfukkas on his podcast. Doesn't mean Drake has to get pissy about it and take shots in a song. If Joe is so irrelevant why would Drake get mad off a podcast?

RIAA, not Billboard.

The album is multi-plat due to "Hotline Bling".

The link you posted has no idea what its talking about

Only sources that can be trusted are the ones with access to Nielson Soundscan (Billboard, HDD, Buzzangle, etc.). Along with that, album #s only include on-demand streams, so YouTube doesn't contribute to them. All of that only counts for singles (aka separate from albums).

This is from the first 6 months of 2016 and a majority of HLB's #s came from 2015, meaning it had a minuscule impact in its 2.6 total #s that got it to it's double certification. One Dance, Too Good and Controlla are the real album sellers you're referring to.

:snoop:

I refuse to believe you guys are this slow.

Listen, RIAA doesn't use the same metric as Billboard. Billboard uses Soundscan.

If you want to argue Soundscan is more accurate, knock yourself out. But Soundscan is what sold. RIAA awards certifications based on what shipped.

This has nothing to do with Drake, or "Views". That is how it's been since day 1.

Re-read what I said, very carefully:

RIAA.com says "Views" went 2x plat. They count retroactive streams of "Hotline Bling". Ergo, "Hotline Bling" contributed to it going 2x plat. What Soundscan says has literally no bearing on that.

Nielsen SoundScan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Recording Industry Association of America also tracks sales or more specifically, shipments minus potential returns on a long-term basis through the RIAA certification system; it has never used Nielsen SoundScan or the store-calling method.

Again, and hopefully for the last time....apples and oranges. Even with both sources (Billboard and RIAA) counting streams, they don't use the same system, and have zero overlap.
