I said it went 2x plat (RIAA certification) due to retroactive (which RIAA counts) "Hotline Bling" streams. That statement is 100% factual.
If you're arguing Billboard says it moved over 2 mill....congratulations, that has nothing to do with going plat. Or certifications. Or the RIAA. You're taking two completely unrelated things (Billboard and the RIAA) and mashing them together. They are unrelated, with zero overlap, and don't even use the same system or rules to determine their respective numbers, be it certification, or Billboard placement. Like I said, it's apples and oranges.

I never bought that Joe was "doing this for Hip Hop" or to bring some MC out of Drake.
Drake is doing what he thinks is best for him. Hip Hop doesn't need him to be something he's not. The pop shyt is what he's chosen. We don't need him. So I don't get why Budden would be so invested in the direction that someone else is taking with their music. If Drake wanted to invest in Hip Hop, he would've done so a long time ago. I can't fukk with a dude that needs to be forced into being more Hip Hop. That's not authentic. He's not built like the greats we see as dope MC's. No amount of disses is gonna change that.

I will still never understand why he stans for Drake so much when you think about the caliber of artists out there that get no dap from mc's like Budden. I just don't get the obsession of caring about Drake so much, maybe it has something to do with overdosing on pop culture. This shyt isnt healthy at all, especially if what the artist is handing you is subpar material. I could give a shyt how many streams or sales, it just strikes me as hollow & uninspired listening to it.
