Budden needs a look right now, the motivation for the disses are obvious. If you go at Drake, you'll get some attention. Joe's always been good at getting himself into some shyt that'll get him spoken about. I would just prefer for him to be mentioned in regard to making some dope music for once.

This whole thing is a bad look for both of them. Sad part is, today's generation won't let Drake fall off because of whatever Joe says. They're not Hip Hop heads. Credibility doesn't mean anything when you're a pop act. Hip Hop rules don't apply to Drake, so it'll be business as usual for him after all of this. We need to get back to actual MC's beefing. Joe should find a better dude to diss, lol.

but Drake himself is into the rap shyt. Thats the thing and thats what Joe is trying to bring out of him. Drake might be a pop star but when you see him early in his career he was into battle rappers and even guys like Budde. Joe is basically saying stop with the gay pop shyt and engage in this rap shyt. Joe knows Drake's fans don't care but Drake does, thats why he disses Joe in the first place and has nikkas writing his rhymes. He wants people to think he's nice with the rhymes

Stereogum confused RIAA and Billboard/Soundscan which don't count retroactive streams, they only count album sales from release

Further, Nielsen Music reports that Views has already sold over 770,000 copies in its first four days on sale (April 29-May 2).

it did 852k pure sales first week (itunes only), 1.04m with streams

ended up at 2m sales in 6 weeks. not counting hotling bling

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.:dwillhuh:

It's 2x plat on RIAA.com. The certification date is June 9th....which is roughly 6 weeks after the album came out.

That is 2x plat with the retroactive "Hotline Bling" streams.

If you're arguing something about Billboard, it's apples and oranges. Billboard has nothing to do with RIAA certification, they don't even use the same system.

never knew what a joe budden was until people on the coli started posting these tracks so no matter how lame he looks to everyone he still got the attention he has been waiting for his whole career.

What's funny about this "beef" is that on any normal day, these are two corny dudes that Hip Hop heads have continuously clowned their whole career. Nas said it best, "People have an issue with Drake's success." So if we're being honest, cats will side with whoever disses him. But I can't pretend to be a Budden fan overnight because I find Drake annoying. LOL!!

Back in the Mood Musik days, I thought Budden was on his way, but dude's kinda wasted his talent on subpar music his whole career. Got washed on every track Slaughterhouse did, clearly the weakest link. And Drake is an anomaly, seems like a parasitic dude who plays rapper when it's convenient, but has learned how to craft hits and build relationships to stay visible when it counts. But there's nothing about him that looks authentic or even Hip Hop. So for heads like me, this is like the fight you saw at school, with the two nerdy dudes who no one cared about, so you just kept walking by.

Is he on 3 now?

I'm a fan of JB's stuff. Been a fan since MM2, but these diss tracks are coming off :francis: :comeon:

There's no point in doing them if homeboy ain't gonna respond. If he was trying to bait him then he would of did just one track. Seems like he's doing it for the attention.

Come on, breh.

You know he responded right.....?
