What's the cap hit? I just don't see them bringing in coaches, new offense wiz kid, etc and not drafting a new QB for the future. I've heard the owner really likes Cam so maybe I'm wrong and they keep him but man...why?
I think it’s around $20 million, so I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if they give it a one year run and bring him back.

Cam is cheaper than Jacoby Brissett next year
21 mil. They could go either way with it and trade him if the offer is good enough from a team (Bears), McCaffrey needs to get paid after next season. Or keep the final year, you have vertical threats that Rhule likes in DJ, CMC is basically another receiver and roll the dice. If it doesn't work out or he gets hurt bottom out for Lawrence.
The thing is though I feel like a lot of these QBs are going to end back up with their same team again next year as there are too many QB needy teams and not enough QBs to go around.

They will more than likely have to trade up to do it as the top 3 QBs aren’t falling past the Chargers at #6.
I’d even say the top 5 as I think a team will trade up with Detroit.
