Eh, strategically this is smart. Harder for Trump and conservatives to hit her than Elizabeth Warren. With Warren and the others it would have turned off the moderates.

Now, in the long term, Harris is troublesome the second the becomes the actual VP and possibly the President if Biden steps down or something. Also her as candidate will be tough in 2024 running against likable GOP candidates like Nikki Haley and others. She will be battling GOP media, moderates, and progressives. I don't think she will be able to navigate that well. Good chance of losing 2024 if Dems don't pass some incredible legislation or turn around national suffering.
