Forget all the other stuff, this is the problem with Kamala: She'll plot to knock Joe out if he wavers on not running in 2024. She'll have her own agenda. That's the problem. Point blank

It makes sense given her past comments. Joe wants to be the star. He'll fade to the background if Kamala is on the ticket. At least that's what I gather from his advisors.

Nobody wants joe in 2024. Barely want him now.

That seems like a good thing. Biden will be in his 80s by 2024. He was never likely to run again anyway, so we want someone ambitious enough to run in 2024.

Whether that's Kamala, I don't know, but Dems certainly need somebody that would put the party in a good position in 2024.

Joe Biden is not running in 2024

I know it....you know it

This is why the Dem downballot is so important....with controll of the House and the Senate, most of what the Dems want can pass

Once this occurs, it will be easier to sell a continuation of this via Kamala or whoever is in the VP slot

Only time will tell. It can decide to get on the same shyt the rest of the world is on, or ride this freedom saturated inequality into fallen giant mediocrity :yeshrug:
As I said in another thread, the average American has linked their freedoms and rights to shyt that is actually harmful to them and their fellow citizen

Americans are so sick in the head, they vote for the party that makes government worse (because that party doesn't believe in government), and then they complain that the government doesn't work.

That's how sick these people are....that's how vile the right wing virus is

Yeah getting a Democratic House and Senate is as equally important as taking the White House. If it's divided government the next 4 years expect no substantial change.

She can absolutely win a senate seat in NYC....she's just got to remain popular

But President? She won't have a chance until she's in her 60's, because many of these conservatards that hate her for no reason will be dead

She would definitely have a better shot at Gillibrand

As Joe Biden appears set to begin holding final one-on-one conversations with potential running mates, sources close to the process tell NBC News that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is among those still under serious consideration.

Democrats with knowledge of the process tell NBC News Whitmer did not just re-emerge as a potential vice presidential pick, but had long remained in the top tier for the only person with a vote in the process: Biden himself.

Top labor leaders in Whitmer’s battleground state tell NBC News that the Biden campaign has reached out to the state chapters of the UAW, AFL-CIO and Teamsters to sound them out about Whitmer. That outreach began as early as January ahead of the Iowa caucuses, but intensified lately as the vetting process advanced.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer remains on Biden's list as running mate pick nears

2024?! :mjtf:

Joe needs to worry about making it to next month, much less the next election. The man is on his last legs, that window is closed. She better knock his ass out if he tries pulling some shyt like that. :martin:

It will be totally fair for Joe's VP to be building their own brand during his term.

Almost everyone who ran in 2020 wasn't running on being Obama or continuing his policies necessarily... they all were proposing big things to meet the moment that the Dems squandered in 2009-2011 when they had control of both houses. Bernie never criticizes Obama. Warren doesn't do it overtly.

Ironically it was Biden being the one who would be like :hubie: I wasn't in the room when that X bad policy was implemented :hubie:

and at times implied Obama didn't know what he was doing.

Obama to be fair in his praise of Warren, Bernie, etc acknowledges if he was running in 2020, he'd not be running on what he ran in 2008 or 2012.

Harris being younger and having ambition would totally want to re-shape the party and its agenda. She has put big ideas out there. Her issue is the same as Biden. She hasn't shown a willingness to go after very powerful interests.

Copmala vs Susan Rice
Its a tough choice but hey if he picks Kamala at least I know that the Obama coalition is getting the boot come 2024 because Biden is definitely not running then
Kamala would have a good point to just turn the VP job as a better way to make up for her criminal justice record but that's what someone on the outside of washington would do
Susan Rice would be another Obama alum who is gonna be a centrist
