Forget all the other stuff, this is the problem with Kamala: She'll plot to knock Joe out if he wavers on not running in 2024. She'll have her own agenda. That's the problem. Point blank
2024?! :mjtf:

Joe needs to worry about making it to next month, much less the next election. The man is on his last legs, that window is closed. She better knock his ass out if he tries pulling some shyt like that. :martin:

It will be totally fair for Joe's VP to be building their own brand during his term.

Shouldn’t use words like never. People said Trump would never be president.

AOC have huge name recognition and the ability to raise a lot of money. She can definitely win a statewide seat.

AOC is a star and she has Democrat’s and Republicans afraid.

Shes feisty, smart and sometimes brash but she doesn’t back down. And the thing with her is that she’s different from the other woman of politics.

She didn’t come from wealth, she didn’t come from a political family. She didn’t start off as a republican and then switch to democrat, she doesn’t have any controversies to date (knock on wood). With policies and the world becoming more progressive it lines up exactly with AOC.

I wasn’t a fan of hers or really tried to know more about her before the pandemic. But during the pandemic I gave her a shot and she definitely has the glow. She’s organic.

I'm not sold at all that the 2024 Democratic nominee has to be the 2020 VP. I see no reason why there can't be another Democratic primary in 2024. I think it's much more important to the Democratic Party (and the country) to have the Biden administration actually do the work of putting in place policies to fix the myriad structural issues that have led to this fukked up situation. Otherwise, the VP from a do-nothing Biden administration that will be facing strong headwinds and apathy as the Republican nominee (accurately) paints them as not up to the task. In fact, for the party's sake, I hope a do-nothing VP would be challenged and defeated in the 2024 primary by someone who actually wants to govern. Let's re-roll 1968.

Seconding this. The VP shouldn't be given a clear runway to the nomination in 2024. Let her make her case against the field.

The country isn’t moving to the far left, which is what AOC represents. It may seem so on Social media, but as Bernie‘s two losses against moderate Dems has proven, the base of the Democratic Party is moderate and will always be moderate.

She can absolutely win a senate seat in NY....she's just got to remain popular

But President? She won't have a chance until she's in her 60's, because many of these conservatards that hate her for no reason will be dead

The country will have no choice but to. The social net is shot to shyt, this pandemic has shown up the fallacy of the "you can keep your employer insurance if you want" talking point all y'all mods loved :mjlol:. Climate change is gonna get worse.

Plus some of the moderate base finna die out in the next 10 years probably :yeshrug:

A lot of pundits are worried that the current inaction/incremental acts of government today will push more people into radical positions on either side. The middle won't hold.
