Wish I could bet some coli cash.

Not that this is my choice, but seeing some of the stories and signs today I'm thinking Susan Rice will be the pick. My reasoning is this: Kamala Harris publically said she wants young black girls to be ambitious. To me, this a sign she may have gotten the call she got cut from the running and now maybe thinking that sentiment is the cause of her cut. So, she made a public statement probably out of hurt and frustration to young black girls to be ambitious and keep on trucking basically. Kamala is drawing too much attention to internal conflict in the open that either she knows she has no chance now or...she is not strategic enough not to sink her own ship by doing this. Not making a moral judgment, just making an observation of what I'm seeing.

Secondly, a lot of stuff about Karen Bass is coming out lately that, to be honest, makes me cringe myself a bit, particularly the Scientology shyt. I mean, I'd hate for her to be one of these people to be so open-minded that they can't see grift and scam in front of them which Scientology is. Its a cult. Period. Should have avoided that shyt outright. Less so an issue for me but probably more of an issue for a moderate like Biden is her respect for Castro which is another story that came out today. This would make someone like Biden shy away.

Finally, he worked with Susan Rice and seems to have a lot of admiration and respect for Obama and probably the people he worked with while in his administration as VP. He is probably extremely favorable to Rice due to a past history.

Someone get a bet going so I can make some fukking money. shyt.

One thing about Kamala that I haven’t seen mentioned much is that Trump can’t slander her on being soft on police since she was an AG. You can’t say Biden wants to defund the police but then say Kamala wants to throw minorities in jail. Her AG record can only be criticized from the left and quite frankly left criticism should be irrelevant at this point when you’re running against a fascist
The issue with Kamala and it’s similar to Biden is that when their record is criticized, they don’t know how to reckon with it. Or admit failures in policy.

I think Susan Rice is the worst pick.

Never ran for public office. And yes, she knows about governing but what foreign policy is there to really be proud of? And voters don't care about foreign policy (though they should) but especially with this pandemic and economic depression, the agenda is going to be heavily domestic.

Bass despite the Scientology oppo dump and her Cuba past is a well respected member of the House, she is a superior choice than Rice.

I still think its Kamala because she has a national profile, she has the donor support, has a grassroots donor operation that was there in the primary too, and has actually won statewide races multiple times.

Playing Devils advocate here but Rice (or any of them really) won’t be running on their prior accomplishments other than them being generally qualified which they all are. It’s going to be Biden’s policy.

That said Rice worked on the Ebola crisis (which I didn’t know until recently) and voted against invading Iraq.

When you really look at it in black and white and take personal bias aside they are all qualified and have negatives which pretty much every VP in history have had. I mean the Scientology thing and Cuba can easily be portrayed as negatives for Bass.

Well, she didn't vote cause she's never been elected to anything :russ: ... But yeah, I know people at Brookings say she was opposed to the invasion in 2002 and 2003.

I can see Biden going with Rice at this point, she’s as safe as can be for him. I don’t like the pick for VP.

But considering that trump is a disaster artist at this point, there’s really no pressure for Biden to pick someone more high profile or different (who could bring in voters), to help unify the party.

Duckworth is the safest pick. I actually think it's the smartest pick next to Warren.

So no one thinks her history with locking lower-income black folks up in CA is a problem? I think she's be an easy target for the GOP.

A classist black woman is a lick to them, gender and class politics and it's a wrap.
