So basically, nukes were the best invention in terms of global security, and luckily we were the only ones to use them in war as far as i know.

I wouldn't go send my people to fight a losing battle just to resort to killing all of us out of embarrassment. I'd hope a world leader has at least that much sense
in a way it has. pre-nukes an action like this from russia would have triggered a world war. now the world powers look at each other like "can we take them? if no, fall back." and then they look at the rest like "do they have nukes? if no, let's fukk with them." if ukraine still had their nukes, they don't get invaded, simple as.

Nope. A poll from 2021 showed that 90% of people in Taiwan identify as being "Taiwanese" compared to just 5% that identify as being "Chinese". That sentiment is going to continue expanding as time goes along.

China is hoping that Taiwan will "give in" sooner rather than later but that's not going to happen. Also, China knows that if they tried to take Taiwan by force, the US, Japan and the West would most likely respond and defend Taiwan. China has no allies (Russia is just a frenemy buffer against the US), so they would be on their own.

Semiconductors are the new oil, maybe even worse. Like 90% of the global semiconductor supply chain is based in a single tiny island country. Iphone 14 going to be $3000 if China annexes Taiwan :whew:

maybe the book of revelation is real....

pandemics
global war
global inflation
international upheaval

:yeshrug:

Book of revelations is real but it already happened in the 1st/2nd century. It's pretty clearly referring to rulers and events of the Roman Empire with a lot of metaphor. Just saying cause I'm annoyed that modern apocalyptic protestants have turned it into this big distant future sci-fi thing it was never meant to be.

The West is what they say when its going at the whole EU/NATO but when they're bringing up specifically the US/UK they call them Anglo-Saxons as an insinuation that theyre still bloodthirsty Vikings (ironic cause the Russians still act like Mongolian hordes), its a racist infighting slight between two white groups, almost like some of the Coli was using that "tether" term before the diaspora wars got cleaned up

By using that term "Anglo-Saxons" They specifically rile up the Slavic ethnic feelings of the Russian population because Anglo-Saxons are a GERMANIC group of people. The Slavs and Germans have had racial beef for like, a few thousand years already.

Side note - it was only 5-6 years ago that I learned that both the Anglos and Saxons were basically Germanic invaders of the British Isles. So the main ethnic word we associated with Britain is actually foreign to Britain. Kinda blew my mind when you think about how anti-immigrant certain "anglo-saxon" brits are....but that's just par for the course.

China doesn’t have D-Day capability. They’re just gonna have to do some insurgent shyt.

Yeah, the "real" Brits are from the Celtic people group (Britons/Celtic Britons).

Maybe, that's why historically English people have hated the Scottish and Irish. The Scottish and Irish retain many of their Celtic traditions and roots (Gaelic).

That's not even true - the Celtic people were just earlier invaders from central Europe (Galatia) who started coming in around 600-1000 B.C. They had absolutely no relation to the folk that built Stonehenge and shyt.

Not trying to chap your hide, it's just crazy how there's levels to the levels.

True but the modern roots and traditions of the British Isles started with the Celts. So in essence, the Celts are the "real" Brits.
