The bar is lower than ever before in terms of what fans expect out of wrestling. I was thinking of making this thread for a while now. nikkas done lowered their expectations so much now in terms of what makes a good match, good angle, star, etc. it's crazy. That you got dudes now stanning for Jinder fukking Mahal

Nakamura opening was a surprise just because of how predominately he factored into the advertising for the show. But it was a good move because you start the crowd off hot while giving a good match. He'll have his time in the main event scene I'm sure. I look forward to seeing what Jinder does/they let him do with his run. It's different and most importantly, new

I didn't get to watch the show but i fully support Jinder being the WWE champion. He's one of the few wrestlers in the company that draws natural heat, has very good promos and is a decent worker that's improved ever since he debut.

Also im all for seeing cac tears pour out and seeing diversity with the WWE championship.

I honestly believe the "on the gas" complaints are a way of hiding the racist nature of the outrage some people have about this.

I don't buy the "he sucks" argument either because Orton was fukking pathetic as a challenger and champion. At least with Jinder you have a decent character and someone that can be challenged by practically anyone and feel he can lose the belt to them.

People aren't even hiding the racist nature when they keep talking about how lucky he is to be Indian. Basically acting like it's an Affirmative Action push because it is for another part of the world, when no one ever complains about Canadians getting a big push before a show in Canada, or Balor/Becky/Regal/Neville/Sheamus always having shyt to do for the UK shows, etc etc. It's not really a surprise, since most of the people who "don't deserve" their push because they didn't go through 10 years on the indies (except Jinder did, and has a very strong Stampede pedigree at that) happen to be black, brown, or a foreigner.

See: Usos until recently and now they're "too hood" for a lot of people, Naomi, Roman, Sheamus until recently when he became teaming with an indie fav, AOP until last month, Daivari, Colons, Ali, etc.

Meanwhile, you have a guy like Chad Gable who was decreed the future before he even wrestled a fukking match and people treated Jason Jordan like a joke until he got paired up with him. Imagine how pissed people would be if they realized that Jinder is actually a second generation talent, because that's for some reason such a terrible thing now, when no one complained about Bret and Owen, or Jake, or Perfect, or Eddie. People were insisting Cody Rhodes was going to be this gigantic star despite being a WWE trainee and being Dusty's son being the only thing he had going for him. But now the Usos/Tamina/Roman/Nia being part of a family that almost everyone gets into wrestling is a horrible thing and they don't deserve anything.

Even Randy Orton, who NOW people bytch about that he only has his job and career because of his name, were more than willing to give him those extra chances and want him to get pushed when he debuted because...of his name.

You can like Jinder all u want...Cesaro is not damn coasting. He's held down in a tag team and they don't want to put him over as a singles because it would get as over as it did in 2014 when the fans turned him face after WM XXX.

Sasha isn't coasting because Alicia Fox went over...shes just being booked down to make Alexa and Bayley stand out. They've been doing that for years except for certain guys. Jeff Hard is coasting..not Cesaro...a Guy who outworked everyone last month with ease. There is no one in the E who does more challenging spots and can turn up the pace like him...we got a contender with the former UK Champion..the 20 yr old wunderkind...Tyler Hate but that's a thread for another day.

I'm saying Cesaro is coasting because he's made very little effort in improving in the things that Vince/management thinks are wrong with him. Yeah, he goes out and has MOTN almost every night, but Vince and company clearly know that isn't the problem with him. He hasn't improved on his promos or character in 2-3 years. Is that his fully his fault? Probably not, but some of the blame has to be placed on him for not trying to get better at the things he's not good at.

Don't know why you brought up Sasha. I didn't say she was coasting

Naka needs to start giving a shyt though. I always called him out on his inconstency as a performer but he's on the main roster now, he gotta put the effort and show he's legit one of the best in the world when he wants to be :purogang:
