Jimmy & Thibs
I would vomit if thats the trade breh
Bu bu but there ain’t no smiley emoji or lolSo you looked at that picture and still can't see they're joking with eachother?........the shyt is blatantly obvious.
The only reason it was close was because Jimmy was out. It's not about you being impressed
And it's not bullshyt. Minnesota's owner dictated they had to make the playoffs. Thibs got Jimmy because he knew that was their best shot at making it - and what happened? They made it. Playoff $$ is worth more to most owners than waiting on talent to develop.
It's also inherently stupid to pay tons of $$ to see if FIVE guys can develop into a playoff contender when you can trade for 1 to do it immediately. Y'all are literally saying since Lauri looked good as Rookie to keep him and see if he becomes a star when Butler is already at that level. Just hustling backwards.
how much is 5 games of playoff money...it's not like they making finals runs or some shyt where you getting 20+ games
The exact amount I cant remember but it's a couple of million when you factor in operating costs and splitting gate revenue with the other team.
But the real reason it's valuable is that the normal overhead - player salary, is gone. Players don't get paid during the playoffs (they get per diem). So playoff money is basically just 0 risk money. Repeated playoff trips builds equity in the franchise and you can get away with charging obscene prices. For a shyt location like Minnesota the playoffs are a bigger deal than to say New York who gonna scam fans outta money whether the team is good or not.
a couple of million...that's it
nikka might as well just put a damn 2 ads on the jersey and call it a day if he so money hungry.
He can't be that much cuz he gave 300m to 2 nikkas that don't give a fukk about defense
Couple million per game. I gotta find the articles about it but a few playoff appearances can raise franchise value very quickly.
That being said Taylor is a bottom tier owner. He's never been smart about generating $$.
Also remember I'm just talking about stadium money. Merchandise, tv money, and ad revenue spike the numbers even higher.
The Teams
If the Finals ends in Cleveland on Friday, Golden State stands to leave two home games on the table. ESPN reports that this could cost the Warriors’ ownership more than$22 million in revenue. This figure is based on estimated revenue from tickets, merchandise and parking for hosting Games 5 and 7.
good faith
Nah butler it don't work like that. When you demand a trade they trade you to whoever they want. If Orlando offers the best deal then Orlando you go Not everyone owner dumb like the gilbert and gonna trade kylie to a contender
