About damn time a black man comes into a situation where he has the guns on deck to win.. nikka could have easily probably got the browns job or some other run down organization job

The lions talent is slightly overrated.

We have loads of talent.

Bush/Bell put up tons of yards.
The oline is going to be great. First year players Warford, Reiff and Wattle played amazing for 1 year toghther. It was the best line I've seen on the Lions in ages.
Calvin at WR get someone like Watkins in the draft.
TE Furia going to be a beast.

Dline Ansah, Fairley and Suh and even rookie D.Taylor looked like a beast.
LB - Tulloch is solid and Levy had probowl worth year.

Secondary is quite week. Quin Glover was the best player back there. We have lots of unproven talent so lets hope some pans out.

I'm not saying he's a bad hire. However is he really that franchise changer? That's what the Lions need, not just another good coach but a franchise culture changer. Caldwell was able to win in Indy in an established culture with an established team. Same thing last year in Baltimore. Is he a guy that can turn a franchise around? :patrice: I hope so but I know better than to get my hopes up.

The D (where it's so cold)
Breh, all Caldwell needs to do is make Stafford stop throwing to triple coverage. Your team already has some great players.
This actually brings up another problem, even if Caldwell somehow repairs Stafford, Caldwell still needs to adres the issue of discipline on the team which was an even bigger problem. Nothing about Caldwell has me immediately convinced that he can do anything about all the penalties the Lions continue to make. Okay, if he can fix Stafford fine, but is he willing to bench Matt if there's no improvement? Caldwell's reign comes with more questions than answers at the moment.

Gonna be interesting to see what coordinators he brings in.

Jon Gruden did the same thing. He won with Tony Dungy's players and talent and everybody sucks him off when there's a coaching vacancy. Let Caldwell cook

Destined for failure here.

Caldwell is a bad head coach for the most part. His track record tells you this, he rode Peyton to that SB but I don't see this working out well for the Lions.

Just look at dudes college record of 26-63 to tell you all you need to know

not really.. why go to a organization who fired a coach after 1 year and tell people they made a mistake

then last year they told whineshunt hes not on there list but re interview him again this year

josh mcdaniel turn them down cause he knows management there is horrible

and when u have star players mad about coach being fired tells u alot about the heads in charge
