There are different types of homeless people so you can't just paint them all the same. The drug addict in LA or Seattle is very different than the person who fell on hard times due to shytty luck/being overleveraged.

But once you do lose housing, it can be difficult to get it back quickly. I remember that young brotha who was sleeping in his car in Wisconsin during the winter, they found him frozen to death smh. His pride didn't let him tell his folks, no one knew.

In some cases, it might be easier to get help while in jail if you are a man :pachaha:an associate of mine had a little studio apartment downtown Seattle thanks to jail resources....it was free for the 1st year.

It's very hard for the mentally ill/addicts to get their shyt together. You can give them 50K....they are very likely to blow it. They don't even know how to show up to a job interview on time. If they show up at all.

And a lot of it comes from their childhood. A LOT of people were never raised to become productive adults, they were raised on bad habits. We just notice them when they become adults.

I don’t think you really know how homelessness works or have truly encountered homeless people.

Idk where you’re from but before you just keep throwing these improbable ideas at the wall I suggest this weekend you go to the Blade or Skid Row of your city and really interact with the homeless for a day. You’ll see why none of your ideas will work.
i'm in NYC.

I understood what you were saying, but the problem is those tactics were tried and found to be unconstitutional. Instead of prisons, there used to be Federal/State/Local Gov't run mental institutions all over the country performing the same functions. They all got shut down after 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' brought attention to how they were run.

You can't just imprison someone for the same reason you can't just commit someone.
No, you don’t understand if you’re talking about putting them in prison. I never said make it to where they can’t leave whenever they want to…let them come and go as needed

The situation is worse in LAX, in Denver, Seattle...pretty much in airports across the entire country.

A lot of homeless people don't want to be in an organized society. They don't want a place with rules and a schedule.
That's why they hang out under an overpass instead of getting a job at a warehouse or washing dishes.
So send them to Siberia ass naked and let them figure it out.

Organized society has to foot the bill for the paved roads, clothing, running water, packaged food, controlled temperature in the airports, safety from wildlife predators, etc. etc.

None of these jobs pay a livable wage in NYC. They’d still be homeless and overworked. Unless they got lucky and found roommates. And not only would they have to be lucky enough to get enough roommates they would have to make at least 3x the rent in wages because it is legal for landlords to discriminate. Homeless people are more likely to have bad credit, evictions, and criminal convictions on their record. That means they are usually barred from renting due to the amount of discrimination they face.

But to you all it’s as simple was walking into and office and signing up for a job :mjlol:

Take those delusional socialist glasses off, we don’t live in that kind of society.
Breh. Be quiet.
I just vouched for homeless people to go get jobs. That's not socialism. If anything that's some pull yourself by your bootstraps bullshyt.
I never said walk into an office. I specifically said low wage jobs that will hire with no "social credit" and yeah they're gonna have to get roommates. A lot of people have roommates. Usually people who have jobs. And they're gonna have to figure out how to get around a lot of those barriers. I had to lie about my income and find an apartment building that didn't do it's due diligence.

This is in no way an ideal world. But let's not act like a lot of homeless people just don't want to do the daily grind.

Homeless people. Use YouTube. There is a percentage of homeless that will never get a job, pay rent that have no major mental issues.

Modern day hobos pretty much.
