The immediate issue I see with this announcement is that they didn't list what the terms of the contract are.
It takes time to build a foundation in the NFL. You can't bring in Aaron Glenn and give him 3 years, knowing the 1st year is going to be painful.

Dan Campbell didn't make the Lions look like a real team until Year 3 and even then people didn't quite buy it.
He also had a much more reliable QB situation with Jared Goff than the Jets currently have.

The Jets don't have a lot of picks in this draft and they're not going to get any of the Top 3 rated QBs.
So that means best case scenario, the Jets get their franchise QB in 2026. Then Aaron Glenn has to develop that guy.

This is a 5 year project at best. I doubt the Jets ownership (and their fan base) hang in there for that long.

Dude on nfl live said yesterday Glenn was the only candidate who got a 2nd interview

Said he’d be shocked if he didn’t get the job the “2nd interview” was the contract discussion

I get he played there, but damn near impossible place to succeed at with that dumbass owner. Should have waited on a better situation because you know it's unlikely he gonna get a second chance elsewhere :mjpls:
what better situation?

the only other team that showed real interest was the Saints and they have no QB,very little talent, and are in cap hell

i don't think the jets are as bad as people are saying.... imagine what glenn can do with that defensive roster after what he did with detroit. if the jets draft graham for interior DL help, add a couple of DBs and improve the OL then they can be a competitive team.

Nobody is getting 5 years. Belichick got 4 years to rebuild the Pats after Brady left and then got fired and he won the franchise 6 Super Bowls.
