a whole season of people fukked up in the head, and the winner was the black ex-fiend. Aint that some shyt.

8/10 for the season. Wasn't high on action, but I was definitely intrigued and it kept my attention big time.

Thats the way I saw it too. Everyone has some fukked up ass personalities due to shyt they deal with, and it was interesting to see how their individual issues clashed with each other

:dwillhuh: punisher was its own thing as was this(foggy cameo notwithstanding)

Most of the shows are actually pretty standalone

Yeah I realized Punisher's own show is it's own story but in my mind with my OCD, I have to watch everything otherwise it seems like I'm missing pieces of the puzzle.

You dont really have to watch iron fist and you can just watch the last epi of defenders to see what happens to DD and elektra

Overall thought this was really good, they were never ever going to top Killgrave.

I'm not up on JJ comics at all, were any of these "villains" actually from the lore?

Just finished it. Can't believe I 'm saying this but overall this is below Daredevil. And this is coming from person who found season one boring and a chore. If it had action, it would be on Daredevil level. The way this show switched to having complex characters/character driven was great. All the main characters had two sides which shows good writing. It's the opposite of Tyler Perry (different genre but I'm making a point). When Tyler has a villian they're just totally the evil. Jessica complex. Trish complex. Mama complex. I could go on.

Even Trish "decision" at the end was complex. Was that out of love or just her own selfish motives to put it to an end? Or both. As I said above though the way they did some Black characters was borderline on that 'cism. Whether getting used or just plain dying. Can't stand that stuff on Gotham and don't like it here. Sure you can say I'm reaching but that's the way I see it. Overall, I look forward to season 3 and I never thought I would say that. Jessica just killed it in acting overall. And that special appearance was great as well. Particularly since I found him an eh villian in Season 1. Dude was straight up the devil and added to Jessica's complexity as a hero. I just wished they made mama a more out cold killer. Don't get me wrong, when she killed she did her thang. But it needed more. And they should have showed how she escaped prison. With all those armed gunman, I don't see it.

Would have ruined the character they were going for. The way she killed JJ's first love was enough. The overall show could have done with more grim/gorey deaths tho

Just finished this, over the course of 2 weekends. I do agree with the sentiment the show gets better as it goes along, and generally ends on a high note :ehh:.

The Marvel Netflix shows continue to be too long, no reason why this or the others couldn't be chopped down to 10 episodes. Especially with the amount of filler/side issues they continue to pack into the story. Also I get the season will be heavily serialized, but Jessica Jones in particular is ripe for more standalone/concept episodes. I usually watch around 3 or 4 episodes in a day and they all kind of blend together, unless there is a flashback or intro to new character. It does give you more of an appreciation for shows that are able to do both and really give an episode its own feel.

Krysten Ritter as Jessica remains the show's strongest asset and all the psychological stuff she goes through with the main antagonist really helps carry the 2nd half of the season. Show is really heavy on mom/daughter dynamics, when you throw in Trish's stuff with her mother.

Trish was a combination of :francis::gucci::dwillhuh::patrice::skip: this season with her actions. "Not all heroes wear capes" - more than one way to do good in the world.

They gave Malcolm more to do, although he isn't the most compelling character. He came up by the end though :ehh:

Cheng was :scust:- worthless new character who just served to be a nuisance throughout the season.

Jeri on her ice bucket challenge ish most of the season was meh, but Carrie Anne Moss is one of the better actors on the show and she has good moments on the show

This isn't the show if you are looking for action, but Jessica is one of the more complex characters in the Netflix Marvel lineup. It does make me curious how a 3rd season would shake up as they have already explored a lot of trauma from her past and wouldn't want to see the same notes again.

I’m a big fan season 1, Krysten kills it a Jessica Jones.

Season 2 was all good until that finale. Jessica carried every scene she was in. That’s probably the worst episode of Marvel Netflix show I ever saw. The pacing went to shyt and they tried to shoehorn 2 episodes worth of material into a 20 minute epilogue.

the resolution of her story made no sense. What stopping the scamming chick from at least mentioning Hogarths name during police questioning etc...

Shout out to Turk, I marked out when he showed up

Hogarth's arc was completely useless and irrelevant in this season.

Overall this season seems to have a very little effect on the grand scheme of things in the Netflix Universe beside maybe introducing Hellcat.
