i'm up to 8 right now. This shyt is good.

Jessica's mom really needs anger management :mjlol:

I thought the boyfriend was gonna be young Kilgrave at first but forgot about the accent. Damn shame how he was about to sell her out so quick. But lots of dudes are like that. nikka had a girlfriend that could whup anyone's ass and he was finna be out here pimpin her. I don't blame Jess Mom for bashing his head in. Tough break cac :yeshrug:

Jessica, Jeri, and Trish levels of hoe and thotness this season are off the chain :dahell: Them hoes ain't got the clap or something?

gonna try and close this out by tomorrow night
:russ:

Finished this last season and I can honestly say I can't see myself watching this season due to it being just sad...It put me in a doom and gloom mood mode considering the events that happened throughout the season between Jessica and her mother it was a good season but the shyt just really ended sadly for Jessica. I can watch the first season without any issues but this season for all its worth it was good it just had a sad tone to it.

TYRONE GA!
Stopped at Beginning of Ep 11 last night.

- Trish is just :snoop: the whole season. Junkie, hoe, delusional. She's more fukked up than Jessica. :mindblown:
- My cac Kilgrave showing up trolling Jessica. :laff:
- Jeri getting played. :francis:
- How Cheng is still standing at this point. :francis:

Everytime Trish shows up on screen now, it's just
full

Antagonist don't equal evil. That's what the word villain is for

Antagonism=direct opposition and this season was full of it

Your complaint appears to be that you didn't have a clear cut hero vs villain story

If everyone are an antagonist then who's the protagonist? That my issue. There is NONE. Not even Jessica.

Jessica is a flawed protagonist. Not every hero has to be an innocent boy scout. Not every story has to be full of butterflies and hugs.
You'll get plenty of innocent boyscouting in the next season of iron fist.

Just finished this and it was just ok to me. I don’t feel like the stakes were high enough throughout this season to really give a feel of tension. Purpleman was a way better antagonist and the narrative his relationship with JJ represented was done in a really polished way. I feel like a lot of the narratives from this season were really on the nose in a way that’s gonna make this season age a lot quicker.

LVP of the season is definitely Trish. The level of entitlement and fukkery she provides is :scust: worthy.

Hogarth having her nose wide open like that didn’t really connect with me because every time we’ve seen her up until this season, she’s been sharp. I find it hard to believe that hard to believe that a homeless woman you have no connection with can buss it open for you and you lose your wits.

I found it hard to care about JJ’s mum either. She never felt like a villain to me and her plight felt forced.

Overall, I give this a 5.5/10. It wasn’t Iron Fist bad but I won’t watch this again.
she wasnt she was an antagonist. I agree it was just ok saved by the back half of the season however you didnt feel there were stakes when jessica and her mom were thelma and louising? You werent like i wonder what jj is going to do either way this wont end well. I thought the mother was one of the strongest aspects of the show, real compelling performance
i wanted to sympathize with Jessica mom...but she was basically a spoiled child..give her what she wants or she'll kill/hurt somebody.
I noticed she manipulated that guard and took her kindness for weakness

This was actually the first thing she did that made me realize she needed to die. Everything else before was just a tragic result of that Doctor's experiments (He was the main villain by the way.Just cuz he talked nice and was likeable don't get it twisted.)

Jessica was a flawed protagonist in season ONE. But she was just as antagonistic in this season as the REST OF THEM. Don't preach about innocence and whatnot. The season simply SUCKED. Point blank. It lacked any direction whatsoever. None of the characters were written or performed well enough to give a shyt, and it would of been a whole lot better had there been a CLEAR protagonist and antagonist which it did not. All it did was people going through random episodes that ended up being all about nothing. No true character arc or even story arc aside from a wasted so-called reconciliation between Jessica and her mother and that was LITERALLY at the last minute.

Hey brehs, when was JJ ever a Superhero on the show? I noticed that the summary says that she comes out of Superhero retirement to become a PI. I'm like :what: i don't remember her going around saving people before being a PI or it being mentioned.

That was in defenders, technically they saved the city from an undead ninja cult.

Clearly she is the protagonist. Whether the show was good or sucked is your opinion, but if it was possible to ask the show creator who the protagonist of the series is we all know what the answer would be.

That's fair

But Jessica is still the protagonist because nearly all the events revolve around her

Malcolm trying to find his footing under her wing

Trish's EVERYTHING

Jessica's mom obviously

Asian PI trying to take Jessica out

Dr Karl using Jessica as a carrot for her mom all these years

The only plot that didn't revolve around Jessica was Hogarth and her issues

Not on the show

All mentions of superhero Jessica are describing a time before the show where she was an actual costumed hero. Jessica wasn't feeling it.

Her and Trish argue about it in S1

Idk if this is fan art but this is how she looked
