Finished S2 a couple days ago...

Jessica: Don't mess with my sister

Trish: Don't mess with my sister

*Jessica & Trish argue and fight after*

*Jessica gets mad at ______*

*Jessica gets drunk*

*Rinse & repeat throughout the whole season*

This is basically the summary of S2

Jessica is such a miserable person. The only time she ever changed her clothes and cracked a smile was in a flashback episode :francis:

The only real antagonist wasn't really an antagonist. Just a bunch of people with mental/emotional problems that manifests out of their control. Not one of them with real evil content. You say "multiple" antagonist because they all at odds with each other is not really a REAL antagonist. Killmonger was a real antagonist. What this season has is no antagonist. Just people having the wrong perspectives about the other Jessica included. Unless you are saying the ONLY protagonist is the Super as the apartment and he isn't even a main character.
Antagonist don't equal evil. That's what the word villain is for

Antagonism=direct opposition and this season was full of it

Your complaint appears to be that you didn't have a clear cut hero vs villain story

I liked season 1 better. Detective gave her too many breaks, doesn't matter how grateful he was for her taking out Kilgrave. After his partner was murdered all bets should have been off,

Still better than Cotton Fist tho.

This is the 1st series without Claire right? Was she in the Punisher?

His partner getting murdered was their fault for not listening to Jessica in the first place

Just finished this and it was just ok to me. I don’t feel like the stakes were high enough throughout this season to really give a feel of tension. Purpleman was a way better antagonist and the narrative his relationship with JJ represented was done in a really polished way. I feel like a lot of the narratives from this season were really on the nose in a way that’s gonna make this season age a lot quicker.

LVP of the season is definitely Trish. The level of entitlement and fukkery she provides is :scust: worthy.

Hogarth having her nose wide open like that didn’t really connect with me because every time we’ve seen her up until this season, she’s been sharp. I find it hard to believe that hard to believe that a homeless woman you have no connection with can buss it open for you and you lose your wits.

I found it hard to care about JJ’s mum either. She never felt like a villain to me and her plight felt forced.

Overall, I give this a 5.5/10. It wasn’t Iron Fist bad but I won’t watch this again.

Bruh this shyt is way better than season 1:gucci:

i'm up to 8 right now. This shyt is good.

Jessica's mom really needs anger management :mjlol:

I thought the boyfriend was gonna be young Kilgrave at first but forgot about the accent. Damn shame how he was about to sell her out so quick. But lots of dudes are like that. nikka had a girlfriend that could whup anyone's ass and he was finna be out here pimpin her. I don't blame Jess Mom for bashing his head in. Tough break cac :yeshrug:

Jessica, Jeri, and Trish levels of hoe and thotness this season are off the chain :dahell: Them hoes ain't got the clap or something?

gonna try and close this out by tomorrow night
