how old are you?

:mjlol:

You don't think JD jumping on tracks talking about "y'all know what this is...SO...SO...Def" wasn't him doing his best Puff impression

:mjlol:

Puffy may biting JD all this time, because there wasn't any BAD BOY when this joint was out and JD was doing his alleged "Puffy impression"

I remember Bivens doing that before Puffy.
You gonna say Puffy was a knockoff micheal bivins?

stop making up shyt, a vocal trademark isn't something new created by Puffy

Yhe same ttackmasters that said he steals credit from people for work be isnt really doing? Lol

Bivins did do it first, Puffy made it hot

Puffy wasn't the first to sample, he made it hot

Puffy wasn't the first to glorify ghetto fabulous, he made it hot

I lived through it

"you wanna dance, I'm gonna make you dance"

I wanna jump in here, but I’ve made my points on these two and there’s mad irrationality to hyping up puff in regards to what he gets to claim as producer - I’m in no way arguing against his claims to tracks if just going off of being a label head and shyt associate with his camp - but yea,
I already wrote more than I care to

Puff thinks he’s above producers that he’s not.

In a Verzuz though, he is above A LOT of producers. Puff has been heavily involved in classic songs and classic albums. And yes, the albums that Puff has been involved and even the songs are more legendary than anything Jermaine Dupri has done. I say this as a fan of JD. No disrespect at all, but the albums below nor the classic songs on them are the same without Puff:

Mary J. Blige- What's The 411

Mary J. Blige- What's The 411 Remix album

Notorious B.I.G- Ready To Die

Notorious B.I.G.- Life After Death

^^^ show me where Jermaine Dupri even compares.

JD is only in Puff's stratosphere on the r&b side, he's not on the rap side and that's what makes it lopsided

JD plays U Got It Bad, Puff plays Forever My Lady

JD plays We Belong Together, Puff plays I'm Goin Down

JD plays Always Be My Baby, Puff plays Fantasy

JD plays Where The Party At, Puff plays Only You Remix

Puff has a counter for EVERY r&b record JD could use

JD has no counters for the bad boy rap hits

Puffy didn't produce Forever My Lady. The only thing he produced for Jodeci was the Come and Talk to Me remix which was his FIRST produced song he ever did.

Also, if Puff plays I"m Going Down. JD will play Who Can You Run To... a BIGGER remake.

Puff was pretty much a glorified DJ Khaled of his era with a BIG co sign. This nikka barely has any producer and writer credits but he thinks he’s untouchable. :mjlol:

Again, this is the ignorance of The Booth, go back and check the credits of Mary's first two albums and Big's first two albums.

Khaled's biggest contributions are Khaled albums. You couldn't pull up credits he has on legendary albums. Khaled is great with coming up songs for his albums. He's done some production on other albums, but nothing that was a classic or legendary album.

Naw, Kanye has all kind of assistance and help these days. However no one will tell you that Kanye can’t create by himself, as he has a proven track record of it. The level he at now with 1000 nikkas included on everything, he evolved to that. Kanye used to go everywhere with his MPC ready to make beats on the spot. nikka Kanye was a ghost producer for Puffys team of producers lol. He was D Dots ghost producer on his way up trying the get on. It’s no type of comparison at all.

Ready to Die is a classic album bc of Puff

Puff was the one that made a rugged BK nikka like Biggie smoother around the edges

Biggie would've been Jeru The Damaja but Puff gave him the direction to be an all around rapper...rap for the streets, but rap for the ladies, rap about the ghetto fabulous lifestyle...don't just rock flannels, throw some coogi on, throw on some gators....Biggie's albums would've sounded a lot diff if he signed to labels like Ruffhouse back then

So Easy Moe Be gets no props???

:russ: I’m dying lol but it’s the truth

When you leave puffy you're never as hot. Don't know what he actually does but he sprinkles some puffy dust on it and makes it hot. Did the hit men go off and produce and make their names pop after puffy?? Only Mary J remained hot after puffy. He's magic and that first album he dropped is a classic to me
