Y2J is a piece of shyt

To bad Benoit didn't kill Jericho then himself instead of killing his wife and his child then Jericho could burn in hell with his piece of shyt friend

Was there really a pattern of erratic behavior, though? He was able to manage his finances, makes his dates and coordinate scheduling with the WWE. That event where he no showed was a cause for concern because he NEVER did that. No one has come out and mentioned any issues with remembering spots or other memory issues you'd expect with CTE. Hell, even Foley and Tommy Dreamer admit to having lapses.

People always say "oh his brain", but there was no documented pattern of behavior as a result. There rumors of abuse, but that just makes him a volatile piece of shyt like millions of others, not someone with brain damage.

The irony is that Chris is his number one defender, but has also told stories, seemingly unaware that they make Benoit out to be a dude who was a little off from day 1.

Look at the timeline. Murdered Nancy, probably in a rage. Sat on it for 24 hours before consciously choosing to murder his soon too.

From what I gather yes, apparently he got overly paranoid and more withdrawn, apparently he would make out 30 different routes even to a local gym. He also seemed to be dealing with extreme emotional trauma due to having many bereavements, from what have gathered it seems to be a combination of factors, the brain damage, drug issues, trauma (which can effect brain too), depression etc. Some close to him also noted a change, it unfortunately seemed like he was trying to cover it and some may not notice but in hindsight seemed to be some weird things going on with him.

But ultimately I don't know, I don't think any of us really do definitively and conclusively, that's why I can understand people that knew him and felt this was COMPLETELY out of character for him not to condemn him fully, as they probably think something else was going on and he wasn't in his right mind, they had those personal relationships and experiences with him to know him, nearly everybody says he's the last person they'd expect to have done this, so it must be shocking, traumatic and confusing for them, so I can't really be too critical on them not wanting to fully condemn a close friend some knew for decades when they think he may have had brain damage and wasn't in control of himself during that time.

Unfortunately we may not ever fully know what happened or the full causes behind it, but it's certainly a tragic terrible situation, for everyone who was family/friends of theirs

Bring "back" child murderers, brehs.

Even in his books and on his podcast, Jericho speaks highly and fondly of Benoit. It's like he can't accept or acknowledge dude was murderer. fukk Jericho for that.
He knew the man personally what do u expect him to say.thats like if one of your family members to out and kill somebody for no reason. Your still going to have that same love for them no matter what happen, you perception will just change

Already been addressed in the thread. No need to publicly honor the man like he's some fallen hero. He murdered his wife, his kid and then killed himself. Not a guy to be admired or respected.

If someone in my family killed people, I damn sure wouldn't be dedicating anything to them. What the hell is wrong with you people?

I don't think anyone is telling him how to feel. They are saying it's in pretty poor taste and terrible timing to be dedicating a match that has so much buzz of the entire industry to a dude who murdered his wife and kid, even if he was a friend before that.
Why? Because gets people in their feelings? Who gives a shyt! Why Jericho gotta be worried about what others think?

It's like how CACs get outraged when athletes sit for the national anthem and try to tell us how it's in poor taste. Oh well, fukk em.

Just like I'm not gonna let a CAC tell me how I should feel about the flag, I'm not gonna tell somebody else how they should feel about their piece of shyt murdering friend. I simply don't waste my time caring what others think and do.

yeah, even if he had just killed his wife, he'd be remembered as an all time Great...
Fixed. If Benoit had just killed Nancy, most people wouldn't give a fukk (he'd be Jimmy Snuka) Especially on here, because we all know how many posters on here feel about women. It was killing his kid that sent people into rage.

Which makes this whole controversy funny to me, because people's outrage is already selective from the start, yet they want to tell Jericho how he should feel :bryan:

"Dedicating this college degree to my mom. Yeah, she went on a murder spree, took a few lives, shot up a few kids, and I see a few of you parents out in the audience... but she always held it down for me. This one's for you, ma!"

But again you ignore what's already been addressed about his feelings. Feel how you want, don't be disrespectful to the victims and family of the victims by honoring the murderer.

For sure 50% of the people that condemn him would defend him if he hadnt killed the kid... WWE woulda still had to pretend he doesn't exist tho
