It really doesn't. His first marriage ended due to domestic abuse. He was known to smack Nancy around on the regular even in the WCW days when they first got together. People have stories back to the Stampede days of him being a fukking weirdo and overly intense. How far back are you going to go to absolve him of some guilt? It was in his character to do what he did. He was not a good man even at the start of his wrestling career.

I didnt know about his other domestic abuse....but to say "it's in his character", is a stretch. Plenty of men abuse their wife, and that's absolutely deplorable, but they don't murder their whole family, and then off themselves on a freakin weight machine.

In the end, Jericho knew the guy personally. We didn't. So maybe he geniuninely feels a certain way about the guy he knew vs what happened and the circumstances regarding his state of mind.

Kenny is out here wanting to use this match as a platform to expand the business and perhaps get a working relationship and supershow between WWE/NJPW for the good of everyone.

Jericho is out here using the match as a platform to plug his booze cruise/podcast/band and dedicate it to a man who murdered his wife and family and set back wrestling in America for a decade.

It is in the character of a man who abuses multiple women and abandons his first family to eventually cross the line and do something worse. A third of women killed in the US are killed by spouses/boyfriends, or exes. That's what his pattern leads to. And make no mistake, it was a pattern going back to the late 80s/early 90s, all thought the 90s, and all the way up to the murders. Chris Benoit was a piece of shyt from the jump. A scrambled brain at the end certainly didn't help, but he wasn't right to begin with. He was a violent, volatile alcoholic abuser for 20 years before he killed his family.

Bring "back" child murderers, brehs.

Even in his books and on his podcast, Jericho speaks highly and fondly of Benoit. It's like he can't accept or acknowledge dude was murderer. fukk Jericho for that.

The thing is, listening to Jericho talk about Benoit you clearly get a sense that Chris always had a fukked up head.

Why are y'all telling Chris Jericho how he should feel about Benoit? It's not our place to do that. Why do yall give a shyt?

Let him do as he pleases. Just because we hate Benoit don't mean we gotta force our thoughts on others

I don't think anyone is telling him how to feel. They are saying it's in pretty poor taste and terrible timing to be dedicating a match that has so much buzz of the entire industry to a dude who murdered his wife and kid, even if he was a friend before that.
