Based off what logic?

Some people might be hiding their fortune. And Bezos fortune is only known through mainstream publication like Forbes. There is no reason to give them absolute credit, especially when it comes to disclosing the fortune of the mightiest persons on the planet.

I'm not saying I know that there are some people out there richer than him, but it's a reasonable possibility.

Jeff Bezos had a very (white) privilege upbringing. His entrepreneurial achievement was coupled by capital to risk.

Why doesn't he have to pay taxes ?

Is it in exchange for job creation ?

Also why are big shipping companies like ups and fed ex give amazon such huge breaks .

Do you know how many rich kids get access to that kind of money and do nothing with it?

You realize how many new business owners don’t get $300,000 from their parents? Like 99.9999999%. You got all these nikkas out here who got it from the mud and yet you wanna look up to some privileged white kid whose parents hooked him up with 300 racks to test out his business idea. And that was 300 racks in 1993/1994....not 300 racks today.

:mjlol:Chill. This is a thread about Bezos breh.

I said that to @Easy-E to emphasize that not every person who goes into business with access to that kind of (family) money, and there are a lot, goes on to build successful businesses. Most of them fail. So by recognizing that, I'm saluting that.

I can’t praise these cacs no more for running home from third base :hubie:He’s white in America. He went to the Ivy League. He worked and made hundreds of thousands of dollars on Wall Street. Then his parents gave him $300,000 to start his business which is the equivalent of getting $500,000 today. He had advantages 99% of people don’t have. I’m not trying to hear about how he started from the bottom :dame: nikkas hate on Drake for being middle class from Canada but praise a cac that had parents rich enough to drop half a million on him.

Let's not take away though. 150 billion is almost impossible to achieve regardless. I mean he's the only 1 in history so it should tell u something

This is true and also dictators don't get mentioned in Forbes, strictly businessmen. The richest person regardless of status is probably Vladimir Putin

There’s people richer than him that’s not listed. Mostly historical figures and shady illegal types though. Bill Gates would’ve got there had he not stepped down. Also due to basic economics, there was bound to be someone worth that much one day. We’ll have people worth $200-$300 billion in the future.

There's already been people worth more than that.

Bet 5 that Bezos next move is the political realm.

Dude buys the Washington post along with buying the most expensive spot in DC? There's also the fact that the entire DC area is in contention for that HQ2 spot. Dude is going to straight up buy his way into the political game at some point.
