Always thought Nas was fortunate that the battle kind of ended with Ether and Supa Ugly cuz BP2 was a lot harder and better diss than the Takeover was. Round for round though, Nas got him:

Last real nikka alive (although it was more of a story than a battle record)

Now as far as the record goes what took away from this was timing. It was too little too late at that point ether had already killed him. Now if he woulda said this shyt on takeover he woulda won the battle, the bars 2 me were better than ether he had already lost by then tho

the funny thing is that Jigga (and his fans) always brag about how versatile he is and how he can make any type of records.

So y'all just gonna take the bars out of the rest of the context of the record 2 try to discredit them. He was basically saying he's called a woman hater for making these kinda records but nas makes the same kinda records and y'all act like he all holy.

2 Things Here:

1)The fact that no flutes were unleashed totally negates that the song is good...When you say that at the beginning and the flutes never come, you're left with disappointment...Maybe he didn't yell it loud enough to Guru or something

2)"I gave you life" line was perfect....that line was literally the best diss of the entire beef...too bad it came on a shytty song

Y'all keep saying that it came too late, that it would've been more effective on Takeover..the thing is that it wasn't until Ether did Nas really get in Camel's ass and then went on his victory lap...before that Nas and Jay were more trading light punches...Jay got turnt up with TakeOver, and then Nas bounced back with Ether.

When you take that into consideration...Jay saying "I gave you life" on Takeover wouldn't have made sense, Nas came out swinging on Ether, which happened after Takeover.
