Honestly this wasn't even that good of a Diss. Of course Ma$e would be #2 when it was Puffy's song, it's not like it was Ma$e song. But Ma$e not Puffy is the reason the song was a hit. Plus, Ma$e, Biggie and Jada was writing for Puff during that whole Era.

Yes Puff was getting all the dough but Ma$e point still stands. Jay wasn't going Platinum, Jay didn't have the hits. This thread only makes me realize how Ma$e dropped the damn Ball. He was position to be the Biggest Emcee in the Game after Big died. This man was a hit making machine. Ma$e actually even gave Big a run for his money on "Mo Money".

Yep, a lot of people forget this cause "Dead Presidents" didn't do that great on the charts but the Single with "Ain't no N!gga" as the b-side went Gold. I actually copped it late 95/early 96. Actually Jay was on 3 Gold singles before the Ma$e Diss:

you are still speculating and Mase sold over 4 million and thats not adding the shows he did, Mase was a bigger cashcow than Jay was at the time. Plus Jays little sales would have to be split at least 3 times so no way is he a clear winner maybe close but Mase made more money.
