I don't think he just figured out today that the war on drugs failed. This is an election year, and tis the season for lobbying to get your pet agenda pushed to the voting public.

Whateva breh. You can also look at it as that those drug tales got him that 500 mil, and if he didn't have that 500 mil and successful we wouldn't be talking about this right now would we? We got smart black people everywhere and on this forum in this very thread. But nobody will listen to them cuz they not famous or wealthy. The game is to become somebody so they will listen. Weather you're a drug dealer or a Harvard grad. It doesn't fukking matter. Once you get to the point where you're powerful enough to have a voice you can do this shyt Hov doing. We gotta talk about on an Internet forum. Hov however can reach the masses. So basically stfu.

I'm trying to be more positive about the concept of Jay-Z as I mature and my appreciation for his contributions evolves..

But this has always been something about him that irritates me... He's always late to the party...But gets the admiration and back slaps for lending his voice to issues that lesser "hot" artists have been saying for years...

Hell, David Simon was screaming this from the roof top while Jay was talking about leaving condoms on baby seats...

Killer Mike was speaking on this when Jay was bragging about how his chick don't shop at the mall

But if this gets some Hollywood elites to finally pay attention then cool... Better late than never I suppose...

After all the arrogant rebellion him and his wife had against Harry Belafonte, it appears they have been taking his advise..
