In terms of the popular fans opinion I would say that's the case. Those probably are my favourite Jay albums too.

black album didnt age too well to me. I moved AG past it in my #3 as well

Vol 2 is more popular than all his albums and it's the album that made Jay Z, JAY Z. Me personally, I think Vol 1 doesn't get the credit it deserves, it's a quality LP. My Top 5 are RD, BP, Vol2, TBA and AG.

I'm saying the album as a whole. of course it has its classic, timeless bangers.

but it is NOT a push play album. American Gangster to me is. Everytime i play that i play it from start to finish. no skips
