There's a difference between that and selecting performers at the Super Bowl. In 2021 they didn't know who would perform in 2025. I'm sure they have a general list of candidates with positives and negatives though. Wouldn't be hard to predict that someone like Rihanna, Beyonce, Weeknd, Adele, Taylor Swift, etc are the caliber of artists who are on the list. Which makes it even easier to recognize that Wayne almost certainly was never in contention for this. If you're a shytty performer who puts zero effort into stage presence and can't sell out shows...you're prob not getting a Super Bowl look.

Yea Wayne’s trajectory has been terrible for the past 12 years despite the leeway he has gotten and people overlooking certain aspects..so he was likely never in consideration. Like you stated, Kendrick probably was not penciled in as a possible but he always had potential to hit the benchmarks. I think it was a fluke how hot he got this year, but thats the game.
