Dummies haven't been paying attention. Jay has made a lot of sales lately to get his cash up. That's also why he is selling dusse. He will have enough cash and leverage to own a significant portion a team. Prob 10% to 25%. Ane That's a big deal.
its called financing. He wouldnt need all cash dummy. Thats why he could put up more than 600 million of he wanted.
If bezos is involved how would it be full of leveraged individuals? Bezos coming with cash. We talking about 1 minority owner in Jay. He can come up with 10 to 20 percent. End of story.

It's not that simple. Potential NFL owners can only finance 30% of the purchase price. So for Jay-Z to buy 10% stake ($6B rumored Commanders sale price), he would have to put up at least $420M cash. I'm sorry, I don't believe Jay Z has liquid resources like that or enough assets to borrow against. Especially in the current rising interest rates, declining asset valuations financial markets.

jay's net worth is 1.3 billion (per the internets) ....so you think he's liquidating and selling off half his net worth to put up $600M up for a 10% stake (team is expected to sell for $6B)? and his entire net worth, forget cash, def aint enough for 25%
Yeah and somehow Forbes celebrity net worths constantly rise while financial markets have fallen by 30-40% over the last year.

That's for the primary owner aka Jeff besos. Jay is a minority owner so thats not applicable. And what it is saying is in order to be a primary owner you need to own 30% of the team. That way you can have 10 more minority owners that own 7% each for example. That's not related to financing.

Per your own article the rules for financing state up to 1 billion dollars can be financed to purchase a team. Besos won't need any financing so in theory Jay could finance up to billion dollars himself plus whatever cash he wants to put up to get a significant minority stake in the team.

Where does it say that financing rules don’t apply to minority owners?

Jay looks funny doing this deal with this dude. Especially after this whole Kyrie thing with the movie he got suspended for. He’s just chasing the money at this point.

I heard Ty Ty and the ghost of Beanie Siegel will be running up in Dallas Cowboys HQ to secure ownership on behalf of the Roc once Jerry Jones expires

Did you even read the article you posted?

"The NFL currently requires the principal franchise owner to have a 30% stake in the team, and the entire ownership group can be no more than 24 people in total. The organization also places limits on how much debt can be used to acquire a team; it recently increased that amount from $500 million to $1 billion."

To be the primary owner (in this case Jeff bezos) you would need to own at minimum 30% of the team. How Bezos pays for that that 30% doesn't matter. The only limitation is that all the owners can only finance up to up to 1 billion dollars of the purchase price. So if a team was 3 billion dollars you could be the primary owner by paying 900 million. And if you had 20 other minority owners all bringing cash in theory you could finance that 900 million and not need cash since its less than the 1 billion dollar limit.

So lets say the team cost 5 billion. In this case besos doesnt need any finaincing and can pay for his 80% of the team in cash (4 billion). If he partnered with Jay that means Jay could finaince up to the 1 billion dollar limit if he wanted to and get the remaianing 20% minority stake without needing to bring any cash to the table. In theory Besos could give Jay a private loan for the billion himself if he wanted to and work out whatever deal he wanted.

This is why guys like Diddy, Jay etc talk about owning teams. It's not really out of reach for them like yall think it is. Yall just too dumb to know how these things work. Owning just means you are the primary owner and in the nfl you only need to own 30% to be a primary owner and can have 24 minority partners if you wanted. NBA teams are cheaper than nfl teams and many are under 1.5 billion (I dont know the % threshold for being an NBA primary owner though but im sure similar rules apply).
