Apparently Jay doesn't eitherEspecially with something like streaming. It has a low overhead, so eventually you can earn big money, after you get back what you put into it. These are rumors though, so I don't put much stock into them.
I wouldn't exactly use hitsdailydouble RUMORS as a source. The last time I put on Tidal they had just streamed Jeezy and have some rock band and Wayne coming up. They seem to update it everyday so I doubt there is validity to this outside of funding. I actually like their interface better than spotify (no iphone so I can't try apple), but they need to allow you to search playlists more intuitively and they need to allow you to play single songs offline instead of making you d/l the whole album.Literally the first thing Jay-Z has ever done that I have liked and its the only thing he has ever done that has failed. I'm on my first free month of Tidal and actually love it, its the first streaming service I've ever used because it allows streaming in FLAC quality and i don't fukks with anything else. I've been able to listen to it at work cuz I can't put my FLAC files on my phone, plus I can use my USB DAC/Headphone amp with my work computer that I can't use with my phone. In other words, if it goes under I'm gonna be sincerely pissed off
I knew it was a wrap for Tidal when I read that Jay was calling Tidal subscribers at home to thank them for joining, when they ain't even give him their numbers
You can download single songs offline. Just make an offline playlist and add the songs your want to it and they automatically download. I actually enjoy the Tidal service to other streaming ones. The interface is dope. selection is good and audio quality better than the others.I wouldn't exactly use hitsdailydouble RUMORS as a source. He did own Tidal, but obviously he was seeking financing like anyone does.
In any event, I don't know what he was thinking with trying to challenge Apple and Spotify, they have billions of dollars behind them (even 100s of billions in Apples case), patents, strongest brands of all time and all that shyt. If google couldn't do it, how the hell is Jay-z with help from Madonna and Nicki Minaj supposed to do it. If he got the 3 major labels behind him to go in as his partners then he might've had a chance but without them it's an expensive ass business.
i think the "what has Jay done for black people" excuses were BS. But he did kind of bring that shyt on himself cause he's the one who put race in the discussion at the exclusive concert. Some people felt like he was using that shyt to play people. And yet Spotify seems to be doing fine without any of that
Like I said, look at the media response between Tidal, Spotify, and Apple.
Matter of fact, look at this sites response. Dudes refused to support Tidal because "what have Jay Z done for the black community" and "I ain't trying to make a rich nikka rich."
Mean while Apple sitting 150 billion CASH and the owner of Spotify is worth over 400 million dollars and neither of them have done shyt for black people.
But let me let y'all cook
The effective funds rate is at like 0.14, why the hell wouldn't you borrow and use your money for something elseHave 50 mil and still need financing brehs. Maybe he just needed Dame
Yeah who knows for sure. No funding is pretty bad thoI wouldn't exactly use hitsdailydouble RUMORS as a source. Just started the free trial off the strength of this alone...they really got like every swishahouse tape on thereEven Apple does that. I got old school dj screw & swishawhouse mixtapes from iTunes that I would have never thought they would have. They changed the names on the track listing cuz they know screw & watts didn't have authorization from the artists on the tracks
