Well if they do then good for them. I loved Daredevil on Netflix.

You're mistaking me for hating...I don't want the service to fail because of the service.

I want a service to fail because of it's intentions

The difference between Aspiro and the Jay-Z owned Tidal, is like you said. Aspiro's business was to offer better streaming audio quality. This is fair, I have no problem with that because a market for that does exist.

Jay Z turned it into a spotify competitor, but that's not it's market. It's product is based off of a niche market who is willing to pay the higher costs of streaming lossless quality music, but that's not the majority of people who listen to music. So it came off as just being a higher-cost alternative version to Spotify/Google Play music to most people. Which doesn't make sense from a business perspective. Why offer something for more money with no discernible differences than the established competition?

Oh lets make a half-assed commercial with a bunch of millionaire celebrities complaining how they don't get paid enough. That'll work.

Lets segment the industry to offer exclusive music videos and early release albums. That'll get em running over!

Lets not offer a free trial or freemium version, because fukk what the competition is doing to try to make a consumer-oriented business model that benefits everybody!

You see how poor planning and execution can make something easily come off as a money grab? They weren't even trying.

Jay tookover Aspiro (A public company that had been in operation for 13 years)

As of January 31st, Aspiro had a total of 503 000 paying users.

WiMP, TiDAL, RADR Music News are subsidiaries of Aspiro.

The main issue is the whole relaunch of this service in America... it became about the artists not the service

They should have focused all their efforts towards promoting their crisp sound vs other services and signed up indie acts
and provided exclusive owner-artist concerts and other content... let sh!t become a grassroots cult slowly

There's nothing half ass about getting all those stars under one roof for a planned event....

They tried and failed....but it's a learning process and it's not as if the European audiophiles left

WiMP and TiDAL EU are still cooking.... so who cares if they got it wrong with the american mass market the first time ?

You course correct and try again

shyt is not fukking with Spotify at the moment, it's a lot "chunkier" , I'm leaving it in the bushes. The only plus is if you have a lot of iCloud space, you can stream your computer library to your phone, that's a fantastic add. But I've probably got like 2 gb of music from 3 different artists who are not on Spotify so it's not a problem.

Give up early on investments brehs
It's called cutting your losses.

And yet Spotify seems to be doing fine without any of that :mjpls:

Like I said, look at the media response between Tidal, Spotify, and Apple.

Matter of fact, look at this sites response. Dudes refused to support Tidal because "what have Jay Z done for the black community" and "I ain't trying to make a rich nikka rich."

Mean while Apple sitting 150 billion CASH and the owner of Spotify is worth over 400 million dollars and neither of them have done shyt for black people.

But let me let y'all cook :mjpls:
Spotify is NOT doing fine at all they lost over 200 million dollars last year. While paying 75% of their royalties to artists and the artists still complain about their royalty rates. Spotify is getting ass fukked from both sides of the business coin.

Apple just got finished funding 50 million dollars to black colleges to help their computer science programs

You have no idea what you're talking about here. Jay z put out a rushed product on the premise of star power alone, with no redeeming features, hoping to cash out early and make a quick buck and yes I'm glad it failed. It was a fukking piss poor effort whose success banked heavily on taking advantage of the gullibility and low impulse-control of fans and their spending power to drive revenue that would have ended up with a more expensive fragmented music streaming industry and thankfully that model lost.
@bdizzle Hopefully his response will shut yo a$$ up for good! Keep ur big stup!d mouth shut yo. And if you don't like it you can take your cac a$$ back to africa where you belong.

why did they not at least TRY to jus do the ol name change trick? Lil Tunechi, Tunechi, etc

Could have even used that angle with the marketing and promo on some Makaveli shyt
Even Apple does that. I got old school dj screw & swishawhouse mixtapes from iTunes that I would have never thought they would have. They changed the names on the track listing cuz they know screw & watts didn't have authorization from the artists on the tracks

Especially with something like streaming. It has a low overhead, so eventually you can earn big money, after you get back what you put into it. These are rumors though, so I don't put much stock into them.
