Really great album still, but I gotta take a shot at Jay.

You basically waited til you were 50 years old to kick "knowledge"

Just puts in perspective how mature Nas Pac, Cube and a some others were starting in their early 20s....

I like 4:44 but even now jay's knowledge songs cant level with as/pac's early 20s knowledge songs

On the other hand jay was smart enough to save that material for now and reinvent himself to stay relevant.

If Jay dropped an album tomorrow, the hip hop world would stop and take notice of it. Whether it’s his fans basking in his greatness, the indifferent who will want to see whether it’s good or not, or the haters who want to scream it’s trash loud enough to hope people actually believe it. All of the morning shows and podcasts are gonna acknowledge it. That’s the definition of relevance.
