yo i got these nas nikkas on ignore so yall should do the same. this thread aint about nas
Hopefully u answer this for me. Because I ask others but got no answer
What songs on 444 do u think sound like LIG?
Because I think none do
Rising to hip-hop‘s crown after the passing of his friend and mentor The Notorious B.I.G., to creating successful ventures such as Roc-A-Wear, Roc Nation, and the aforementioned Tidal, even his marriage to pop ultra star Beyonce and the creation of their new family, Jay-Z has been the poster child for “making it” in this life with what he was given early on. For the most part, he was never afraid to let us know, championing fashions, trends, and how we moved and applied cultures to our own lives.
When u sit down and think. U gon see they are nothing alikeI'm not about to put a whole bunch of quotes and links to songs from Life Is Good in a thread on 4:44. There's enough Nas talk in here. I'm about to make a separate thread on it.
Black album was way more personal than BP.
Brehs this album is special. See I've always been a Hov fan. I'm from Southern California. Indio born n raised. When I was in middle school thru graduation (I graduated 09) nobody was fukking with Jay like I was. I knew all the lyrics. I bought the physicals. I'm weird cuz my personal favorite is The Black Album . That was the first one I actually paid for and bought. It's the First one I learned the words to. But I think it was great because it made me dig deeper into his catalog to appreciate how dope he is. Seeing the love this album is getting and his lyrics having personal substance it's amazing. Huge album for me. Proud proud proud fan. Thank you Hov.
I feel like its on purposeIs it me or is the album mastered kind of bad? To me it don't sound fully mastered. Could just be the copy of it I heard but I even got it flac and it still sounded mastered weird and not super clear.
Maybe their saving the better mastering for the physical CD and they rushed this one off

I never disputed the similarities between the albums. I'm disputing the notion that anyone thought about Life is Good or Nas while making the album.
Nas probably wasn't thinking about The Fix or even bumping that album when he made God's Son, but it would be delusional and a huge oversight to say God's Son and The Fix aren't very similar albums. People can make comparisons between albums and have been doing it since music has been existence. Yeah, it would be a reach to say Jay Z bit Nas or that Nas influenced the album, but if people really can't hear the similarities between LIG and 4:44, then they can't hear. Regardless of which album people think is better, LIG and 4:44 have a lot in common.
I feel like its on purpose
Glad I'm not tripping.
