wow so Jay never wrote anything afro-centric before? I think as the times changed and everyone has become more mature and pro-blackness wasn't some outcasted clique of people but now a common way of thinking, it's makes sense that more of the albums are coming out in that vein.

to call him a trend hopper would be correct if a 50 year old started doing albums over trap beats...

this is the type of music jayz was suppose to do but he catered to his fans most of his career, wasn't willing to go full Nas/Jay Cole because he still had a toe in the Biggie/Pac mentality
