The album is good but people reaction to it is corny to me. Meaning: other people and other rappers been said to invest or save your money. Now jay says it, everyone is scrambling to the nearest Money manager with their income tax (or what's left of it). Other rappers been said that rap was trash. Nas made a whole album about it. Now jay says it now everyone on it. Corny.

But I'm glad jigga is more overt with the substance instead of this I'm successful so "we" are successful even though I'll go home to my mansion you're in the projects but we the same color right?

The message he is saying is something that should be said. The point is others have been saying it, and more creatively and better for years.

fukk you.

None of those rappers have the reach of Jay-Z. That's the difference.

If Jay-Z preaches black economics, that's going to trickle down to EVERYONE.

THAT'S fukkING IMPORTANT.

13 year olds who only bop their heads to mumble rap are going to LISTEN ot this.

Ain't no other mainstream rapper preaching what Jay-Z is preaching. Ain't no one preaching Black Excellence on the radio.

Dope album, but i still put ACTQ's release above anything else that has dropped in the last decade.

I don't agree with this assessment.

There isn't a rapper alive that is the living embodiment of what Jay-Z is talking about on this album as far as economic empowerment goes.

And frankly, I have no idea why people are acting brand new Jay-Z has been on that "own your masters, be a boss" steeze for a minute now.

It certainly didn't start with 4:44.

I don't give 2 shyts if the subject has been covered, for all I'm concerned all records released from this day forward til the end of the year, from every rapper, should be, until it's embedded knowledge in the youths head.

My only negative review is the mixdown on the vocals over the beats weren't that clean, but I'm not sure if it's the 320 rip, since I don't have tidal to stream, maybe the stream sounds better.
The beat selection were kinda meh. I wish The Story of OJ had a solid 808 over those jazz instruments, its always good to have a good message over some knocking beats. I get the smooth sounds but every once in a while come with a banger, you can still use jazz instruments and be mature, but put some knock on it, Ye does it all the time.
