I'm feeling it overall. No ID does his thing... Some of the beats are a little annoying but I appreciate the aesthetic

Jay is hit or miss here. He's really not that great lyrically but he still has the flow for the most part

Because it's cohesive, it might still be a Top 5 Jay project

u got thru the post American Gangsta album fine....even entertained most of MCHG....but this is the year. After dropping standout verses like Drug Dealers Anonymous and his most introspective album period....this is where you was like "nah this nikka done" :notsureiff:

Is it me or does Jigga's vocals sound unmastered? Like the vocals seem like they were recorded to different beats. I'd rate it 7.5/8 out of 10 but it doesn't sound sonically fat like his previous albums. I hate whatever the industry is mixing everyone's music with because it makes everything sound "flat".

My personal joint is, 'Smile'

I think that was intentional. Working with No I.D, a pretty laid-back and by the books type dude. It's better that you're a cohesively normal joint over another Jay album where the highs might be severely high and the lows are just rock bottom.

Idk if people caught this but jay used a bunch of samples from his "songs for survival" playlist he dropped last summer on tidal. Dude is mad calculated. Only reason I immediately realized was cause I rocked with that playlist heavy last year. Even made a thread on it
