Respect Jimmy Iovine
But he gotta respect the Elohim as a whole new regime
And nikkas playin' for power, huh
Till our music is ours
nikkas only own houses
Ours was, "fukk you, pay me"
Now it's, "fukk payin' me, I pay you"
Put the rest away for Blue
That blood money, I giggle at it
Can even support my miss' habit
Jewelry shoppin' in Paris
All y'all jewelers should be embarrassed, huh
Blood diamonds drippin', we killed
I still ain't trippin', that's life, winners and losers
Drug dealers and abusers, America like me ruthless

Just finished Legacy. Album just restarted to Kill Jay Z as I type. This isn't any sort of review. Just first impression. Jay's flow isn't what we're used to. Might as well get that legitimate gripe out of the way early. This might be the bravest album this nikka has done. The Jay we know isn't supposed to drop an album produced by one dude. If he did, No I.D wasn't supposed to be that producer. The Jay we know wasn't supposed to be the only nikka spitting bars on the album. The Jay we know would never rock the tone he just rocked for ten songs. There'd have to be something for the ladies, something for the streets, something for the club, something for the stuck in the 90's nikkas, etc. I'm genuinely blown away by this album. I personally loved MCHG for what it was. He had bars but it was just a fun listen in general. I was expecting more of the same. Not in a bad way. Drug Dealers Anonymous and various other features showed he was still on his shyt. But Jay clearly went into this with all intents to just spit. No trend hopping/pushing. No need to please every demographic. This is what was on this nikka's mind and he was gonna make that album. The flow took a back seat to making sure nikkas heard every single word he was saying. fukk realizing you're hearing jewels on the 6th or 7th listen. You gon hear these words today:ufdup:Again, just a first impression. I'm not dropping a rating or shyt.
