i know this may seem weird but stic man has a similar delivery like nas
question what year did jay elec meet esco?

It's really not serious at all. Show me a niggga that ain't never used another nikkas lines or ideas and I'll show you a never was.
Lol..
I think it is obvious what song Jay Electronica had involvement in..
Go ahead, guess
Probably the one talkin' about aliens brehs.
Jay Electronica guided that We're not alone track all tha way.
That said without listening to the verses now.
And that's the thing. Ghostwriting and leading the direction of a song is two totally different things.
One of the main reasons I was excited about Untitled was the fact that stic.man had his hands in it, that meant that his ideas and concepts would be penned by Nas. He gave Nas direction in some of those tracks.
Ghostwriting on the other hand is letting a guy write a song for you, and you just recite the shyt with your voice, flow and charisma.
It's all perspective. If we in the studio and you rhyming and then you com to a stop and i keep the flow up and then you say damn thats hot, imma use that. Did I write yours ong? Or if you like you should make a song about Racc00ns and i'm like, "i don't know shyt about Racc00ns" and you say okay i got this blah blah, and I put my spin on it, did you write my song, did you write my entire album, or did I use your concept? And more often than not they give writers credit to most of the people who write for them. I do not own "Untitled" thats the only Nas album i do not own so I can not look at the production credits.Nas himself said, "no idea's original, there's nothing new under the sun, it's never what you do but how it's done."
Then again, he said, "how much of Biggie's rhymes gon' come out your fat lips."
I'm not talking about flipping lines or "paying homage" (). I'm talking having someone write the lyrics you take credit for. That shyt is different than what you're talking about. And I would argue that it is serious for rapper who is respected for his lyricism.
Again, I'm not arguing that Nas needed help. But if he used help...
What the fukk you talking about bro, it was suppose to be a Dead Prex track, the track was done with Stic Man.
Neither is saying "I did not write for him" in that. Those quotes can mean what you want from either side.
Jay's comment could easily be interpreted as him not needing one in general because he's talented...but that doesn't mean he didn't want or accept any for the alleged time period. Two different things
Jay is usually so loquacious and direct about everything else it seems like both would straight up say I did not ghostwrite but they're jumping around that statement and complimenting without admitting they did or didn't.
That said who knows anything but the people directly involved
Didn't read that anywhere.
I assumed they just helped on separate tracks.
I know Jay Elect produced Queens get the Money, and Stic.man produced Sly fox I think.
Maybe those are the songs they helped write also.
And dont step to me like that mr miyagi muh fukka
^ Logically then perhaps they both were involved on the same track.
Do you know?
I don't.
I'm just assuming, I didn't see any direct knowledge of what songs they worked on.

wrong...jay elec said "never has", as in "never has used a ghostwriter."
u n1ggas are trying tooo hard
Nas HIMSELF said he's never used one tho....also...think about this for a second...most verses are 16 bars minimal...most songs have 3 verses...add that up...a nikka gives u a line or 2...he helped u write the track and is ur ghostwriter?...come the fukk on son...Maybe I'm being too simple, but if a rapper uses another rapper's lines, that's helping and that other rapper deserves some credit. Then again, do ghostwriters get "credit?" I thought they were ghostwriters for a reason.
He said, "never has and never will need a ghostwriter." That means he never has needed a ghostwriter AND he never will need a ghostwriter. It does NOT mean he has never used a ghostwriter, though.
