i think how he sees religion and how you see it (no diss :whoa:) might be different. Jay seems to be a certified 5 Percenter and his religion is that he is a God or Godlike so none of it is really blasphemy. He doesn’t hide it at all :yeshrug:
Oh nah its cool, definitely no offense taken, you'd probably be surprised about my thoughts on religion (but that's another thread lol). I think your theory is spot on though.

"The last time that I kissed you, you felt cold but you look peaceful" - Jay Electronica

This guy is a seriously incredible writer, I felt that.
Man my homeboy lost his 4 year old daughter to cancer last year. And i was telling him in particular this song was a vibe. So he quoted the line last time i kissed you, you was cold but you looked peaceful. nikka my eyes got watery i can't front. Not because of the song you know but because of my homeboys circumstance and I know that joint is probably hitting him particularly hard. We're both avid hip hop heads so you know. Sitting at work with tears in my eyes bruh shyts weird. Fatherhood turned me into a ho. I'm fukking 6'3 245 lbs with watery eyes at my job LOL
Man listen

Khruangbin is some real zone out shyt, but combined with the subject matter Elec + Hov dropped it's a great damn song.

I know a couple people here are up on K, but people need to really peep game. They're an incredible band.
I know of them, they did one of their first, if not their first live performance at a venue I frequent for
Jazz performances, I just typically focus on bands where the members are for the most part Black.

lyrically Jay.E be saying some dope stuff but i just feel that better beats or more banging beats would have easily put this project over the top. All this drum less loops or minimum drums wave is not for everyone.. And since i make beats i know what i like and what i dont.

Just Blaze could have giving him some quality beats while allowing both Jays lyrics to shine through :manny:

I'm a fan of Jay Elec but the Allah shyt is:russell:

Album is a 8/10.

Jigga washed Jay on every track.

:damn:: Soulja Slim, Blinding, Neverending story, APIDTA

:camby:: Shiny suit theory old as fukk, Flux Capacitor is just noise, the dream, only 7 new songs.
