Album came and went.

And it really does sound like shyt. Young Guru is absolute trash. No idea how this clown has a good reputation. Vocals especially sound like shyt throughout. Feels like a shytty 128kbps leak from back in the day

Prior to today I listened to the album once on youtube… just copped the 4 month hi-fi deal on Tidal and threw this on at "master" quality... Tell me why the audio quality sounds exactly the same tho  The mixes are a mess

I like the album but y'all wasn't lying about the audio quality which is :dwillhuh: in and of itself considering who's involved

This man was spitting something crazy on Fruits of the Spirit...it's like soon as he start droppin gems it was over :wow:

My cross I carried it
My crown of thorns to cavalry from Nazareth
The orbit was too wide to calculate the azimuth
The journey was technically unexplainable, hazardous
Rise, young gods, all paths lead to Lazarus
The dry bones that lifted up from the valley dust
The prayers of the slaves are the wings that carry us
A field full of dreams is where they tried to bury us

Archaeologists describe how Ezekiel's Wheel helped turn African Americans into Christians PhysOrg - November 9, 2016
At the site of a plantation where abolitionist Frederick Douglass once lived archaeologists have uncovered striking evidence of how African and Christian religious beliefs blended and merged in the 19th century. The team dug up an intact set of objects that they interpret as religious symbols - traditional ones from Africa, but mixed with what they believe to be a Biblical image: a representation of Ezekiel's Wheel.

Next song is what? Ezekiel's wheel :damn:

You can catch this broad daylight,
you know the Kingdom come, sir
That wheel inside The Wheel,
a half a mile in circumference
It's the return of the Mahdi,
it's the return of the Akhis
It's the return of the lost and found
tribe of Shabazz, the Annunakis

Lol. I heard that bar last night and had to stand up out my seat man. This album raw as fukk to me
As a breh that recently struggled,
Been distracted and in a haze of overthinking with my creative output...ontop of the Alchemist being a simple but very ill book :wow:

That line is heavy as fukk. Read through the whole thread hoping to find more talk and discussion on the themes and references on the album only to come up mostly empty... So I tagged brehs who seemed to be on the same tip.

Album is divisive tho lol... You lay the reference out to a unfamiliar Breh and he like ...."ok" *insert Waka popular Waka meme*

Lay it out to a page turning Breh that done seen the same or similar concepts and information throughout they journey and it's a whole nother story

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
To be honest...I never got into Elec because I don't follow artists that I can't rely on to drop projects...

That said, I simply love this shyt. And now that I have something from him that I like, I've gone back and heard some of his older stuff and it's great too.

If any of y'all got a mixtape of all his best stuff that y'all could share it'd be appreciated.

Ideally I'd have every song this man ever did
