I guess it does depend on what kind of rap you frequently listen too

Flux capacitor is one of the worse beats in hiphop history and people here saying they like the songs shows you that people ears are accustomed to different things

YEA THAT shyt IS TRASH...

HOV WAS STILL ABLE TO MAKE
SOMETHING OUT OF IT THOUGH.

ELECS VERSE WAS A GARBAGE AS THE BEAT.

300 murders a year
after listening my expectations were not met with this project. i love the content. love that jay had a few verses where he floated. but im disappointed in jay elect. outside of maybe a verse or 2 his level of lyricism felt mediocre. i expected him to leave earth on a lot of these tracks and he didnt. and i know a lot of credit is being given to jay z but honestly kinda felt he was basic on a few of these tracks too. as far as the beats i liked maybe half of them.

this a track i might keep a few tracks for and toss the rest. which is sad because i been waiting over a decade for this project and when i found out jay z was on it too i was really excited but i would be lying if i said i came away feeling like this was a classic or something that will get more than a couple plays from me.

I don't think he ever married her but admittedly I don't follow rappers personal lives like that.

Regardless, I'm sure his actions contradict a gang of shyt he's saying on this album but :manny: it's no different than any other rapper, really. I take what rappers say with a grain of salt.

Fred.
I mentioned that to him but then he or Jay went all trying to hack lol a billy vs a billy and yes he did marry her. It's the biggest sellout album ever made. He should have release the first which Jay said no.

The Ummah!
His part is really short and he sounds like 808’s Kanye on it :skip:

And thats why he should not have been on it.

I HONESTLY FELT HOV WAS HOLDING BACK...
HE DIDNT GO HARD AT ALL
AND WAS STILL SHINING.

JAY ELEC IS NOT THE EMCEE WE THOUGHT
HE WAS 10 YRS AGO
BUT HE DID A GOOD JOB KEEP THE MYTH ALIVE
BY NOT RELEASING ANYTHING.

DUDES VERSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN CRAZY
SINCE HE ONLY GAVE US ABOUT 3 SONGS WORTH
OF BARS IN THE WHOLE ALBUM.

:francis: upon further review,

it's still good.

:wow: got to give him credit for even having the balls to drop it:yeshrug: he didn't have to

and for all the hype, i thought it nearly impossible not to disappoint, and it doesn't, well not really:francis:

as many have stated this is a Jay, album/project and that is Jay -Z:mjlol:

He used Jay elec as an excuse to put it out/ like 4:44 he used his extramarital affair/ american gangster it was his being inspired by the movie:mjcry:

even the goats/ are as Erykah Badu put it/ an artist and sensitive about they shyt:russ:

so these excuses or caveats help with releasing these projects at least mentally :ehh:

with that being said / it lacked energy:hhh:

how the most energetic thing off the project is an 80 year old mans snippet from a speech?

and they callabed on we made it/ which displayed energy :yeshrug:

and these stripped beats:gucci:

like 4:44 was missing any signature beats/ songs when first come on you know what it is/ you anticipate that beat drop:takedat:

all missing/ don't know what jay is doing/ that whole jay- ye departure, fukking up music for both those artist/

at least jay is still putting out tolerable music/ that ye shyt:picard:

and jay elec is a watered down Killah priest/

no way you could be silent for that long and have nothing new to say:hhh:
