I think this was Jay Elects NOI album.

He might have been limited in what he could speak on here

He might not have been allowed to spit his voodoo man shyt :patrice:

There might be a whole album of material that Jay honorably left off of this album

I do think this was an album with a theme and concept, his written testament, he decided he wanted to come in that way. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes more albums that he now loosens up in different areas, I know he's done girl joints etc before and I wouldn't be surprised to see him do that again. I think he wanted to stick to the theme here and almost pay homage on the official debut. The Act series could potentially still come and manifest, this was something specific and conceptual in my opinion and should be looked at in that context. Certain songs just wouldn't have fit the theme, some would as others have mentioned Better In Tune With The Infinite but there's some songs of his that certainly wouldn't on this 1. Hopefully there is more to come, he's too talented and gifted to make 1 classic and be gone, would like to see him stake a claim as 1 of the greats, it's better late than never, it's a very good start, I hope there's more but historically we just don't know yet.

More and more people see calling the album a classic....

People need to accept people have different opinions, I have no issue with somebody saying it isn't a classic to them, but we can't deny that many people feel it is, people are calling it classic all the time...

The people judge not the critics or The Coli....

Breh let your opinion stand on it's own two feet.

Posting 50 random ass people from social media, 90% of them with 0-10 Likes or Retweets don't mean a god damn thing. You been doing that for a few pages now.

If this shyt is a classic it will be hailed as a classic in due time totally independent of The Coli or Twitter. That's what you cats don't seem to get. If it's a classic it's strong enough to last longer than some prisoner-of-the-moment shyt 3-4 days after it's release, right....so why the campaign? :jbhmm:

You gotta be a next level stan to take people off Twitter with 20 Followers, 0 Likes or Reweets as some kinda concrete proof the album is classic.

Let alone think questioning that is "hating".

I already said the album is dope.

I already went in on Rosenberg.

Don't ask me no more silly ass questions, man.

It's a good album but the more I listen to it the more o would have preferred Jay z wasn't all over this shyt. It's honestly killing the replay value, and I say this as someone who has been bumping Jay Elect since Exhibit A

No. because it is highly relevant to the discussion that is happening. People are saying no-one is saying it's classic which is false. "Random ass people?" These are the Hip Hop listeners, their opinion is no less valuable than anybody else's. Infact probably more valuable than a lot of people on here who have agendas and are stans of others. I'm sure some genuinely don't feel the album, perfectly fine if that's the case but there are also clear agendas. I'm showing an alternate viewpoint that is the truth, there ARE a lot of people that are feeling the album, are there people who don't feel it too? Absolutely, but the album is resonating with people strongly. It means A LOT, look at what people are saying, it's not random comments, it's common themes that people are saying and also they are invested in the album passionately.

There's no campaign, the only campaign seems to be to suppress people who think the album is a classic, that isn't gonna work on me in no shape or form because I have my owns thoughts and views that are strictly my own and independent of anybody else's influence.

Likes and retweets are irrelevant, it's about how it's effecting individual people, if many seperate individuals are saying similar things that shows something, infact that's evidence of what I said that is pure.

However...

This has 2.8 thousand likes since you mentioned it.

This has 3.1 thousand likes.

1.6 thousand likes on this 1.

So that shows that 1000's of people feel the same as what's said, and that was my point. 100's and 1000's of people are feeling the album, and many are considering it a classic. Let them feel how they want, NOBODY is saying that everybody has to consider the album a classic, not at all, but dismissing all these people who do in some way which many have done or ridiculing them is not right, cause these are just individual normal people and they matter hugely, the everyman or woman matter more than some buffoons on here (for example the proven racist Big Mel), this is what I mean about some of these normal opinions matter more than those on here.

You are right that the people will decide, and I'm posting the people which many are denying is happening, but yeah my points been proven there conclusively as 1000's of people feeling the same. I also added on my own thoughts of why I believe it will stand the test of time within the post, it seems some don't like an alternate opinion to even be voiced, I added the comments as evidence that others are also in agreement with this.

At the end of the day, the people will decide, they are expressing their views and opinions now and I believe the album will stand the test of time in their minds and hearts for the reasons I stated, but we shall see, I know it will in mine.

What I haven't seen mentioned here is Jay Elect is letting the beats breathe at the end of the track. Sometimes letting the instrumental go on for over a minute, e.g. Ghost of Soulja Slim and Universal Soldier. Been missing that on records these past decades. Reminding me of Liquid Swords, which is never a bad thing.

That's something I mentioned to somebody earlier, I said it as he's working on his own time, in the sense he's defying convention or the norms, he's doing exactly what he wants and I like that. I enjoyed how it was unconventional and not just a rigid format some have.

The Coli hates Twitter unless it's being used to validate their own opinion of course
:pachaha:

And I think the album is great by the way.
