It’s not about how good or bad he was
This is about his level of popularity which, at it’s peak, was in the AI ballpark
He was never even an all star though. Hayward and Love>Williams
Rod Strickland was dope and I think he lead the NBA in assists once. J-Will was flashy, but it was a joke he finished second in the ROY race to Vince (over Paul Pierce) when he was averaging like 12 and 6 on less than 40 percent shooting.Revisionist history. He's remembered as being better than he was. Kinda like Rod Strickland.
You smoking brick. This dude was never as popular as AI.
Had Love stayed put and kept doing 2k Mycareer on pro numbers he would have been a bigger star.
J Will was that dude, one of the players that kept the excitement going after MJ retired for me. But if Love had stayed put and kept doing 2k Mycareer on pro numbers he would have been a bigger star IMO. You can theorize that the team would still be treadmilling but you never know....but alas, he became Bron's scapegoat.
White Chocolate would wreck shyt in this league though, I think about that from time to time.
Stop it...Kevin Love was putting up 30 30 games and nobody gave a fukk. At no point did the league try to push K Love or Hayward
I know y'all don't watch Utah so y'all never saw....I do

I did.
He was dope, and emerging but he was supposed to be Larry Bird when he got to Boston and it ain't pan out, because of reasons.
You do know Williams Only Averaged more than 12.5 points per game Once in his Career(14.8), shot under 40% from the field and 32% from 3 his entire career. Ended up averaging 10.5 Points per game. Glorified role player with occasional YouTube highlight reels, low IQ for a Point Guard, Terrible shot selection, didn’t take care of the basketball and was a TERRIBLE defender.
