And? :gucci:

Y'all act like playing without home court advantage is supposed to make life easier for the best teams. :mjlol:

Not getting to sleep at home at night for three months straight makes everything that much easier. :francis:
I'm not acting like anything.. Numerous NBA players who actually played there have said it wasn't the same, they didn't feel the same, and it was basically a joke compared to real NBA basketball...

Did I think that before I heard them say it? Yes. If I heard them say it was the same, I'd shut the hell up. But apparently they pretty much all same thing and said it while it was in play. It wasn't until it was over did the narrative get pushed that it was somehow harder in the bubble. Now the players are confirming again, nah.. They took that shyt for a joke too

You think that made the difference when the games started? Maybe to a degree. But the best team still won. :mjlol:
No.. THEY think it matters. I'm sure the Lakers would have won regardless. Do I think it would be vs the Heat? Or the Clippers would fall apart? Or they wouldv'e breezed through just the same? Nah

But that's beyond the point. I watched the games. These nikkas was NOT playing the same. At all. And now they are telling you this in their own words. Congrats for the Lakers staying focused and playing the same. These other nikkas was collecting a check

Saying "it felt somewhat different" is not the same as claiming "it was basically a joke". :mjlol:

Tatum said "something about the environment you could play a little more freely" and you turn that into "it was a joke and he was just collecting a check."

Same players, same opponents, same rules, same refs, same TV deals, same national audience, same contracts on the line, same endorsements on the line, same legacies on the line, same careers on the line. If you think anyone was trying less hard to win than they would have under normal circumstances, with all that at stake, you're a clown.

Watch the Bucks fold, watch the Clippers choke three games in a row, and then try and talk that they lost cause they were just playing loose like rec league games. :mjlol:

So does this season count?..... There are no fans in the seats....Do we write this season off because players aren't playing on the road in arenas with screaming fans?......or do we only discount the season if Lebron and the Lakers win?

To be fair... I did create a thread before the bubble ever started and got down people's feelings before a game was played... Most of the coli said they were counting it. So feel free to pull up receipts on nikkas who trying to change the story

https://www.thecoli.com/threads/let’s-establish-this-now-does-this-season-count.784854/

FOR ME... You can't change shyt and tell me it's the same. It might be similar, but it's not the same. That's not a debate. That's a fact. A regular NBA season and the bubble are not the same. It's not the same playing a game where you go upstairs every night and back downstairs, to empty seats... versus playing a game, getting on a bus, going to a plane, traveling across states, getting off, unpacking, getting ready for a game or two, playing in front of 30k fans who hate you....... then having to get right back on that damn bus and fly home and do it again.....

That's a huge damn variable (fans & travel) missing.. That's not even counting when teams were missing, games missed and players not even showing up... I'm not going to say it means NOTHING. But yes... It means just a little bit less than those 82 game, 7-7-7-7 with travel and fans, seasons..

Someone please explain how you can possibly rank them on the exact same level

These dudes keep talking about how it was so easy yet they couldn’t get to the Finals :mjlol:

I dont know if it was the hardest, but I feel it was one of the most if not the most fair. No home court helping you get wins you shouldn't. No fans to throw off the opponent. The best team wins with no home court help. No matter if you were the one seed or the 8th it was all the same. Just pure basketball. And the best team in the bubble won.

Oh for real?

200.gif
All facts^

It was so easy, Clippers couldn’t defend a 3-1 lead.

The Coli: many, many sore losers. I was not fond of the Warriors + KD, but they won chips fair and square and it was up to other teams to beat them.

Take the L like a man

In the purest environment, where all that mattered was pure basketball skill, the Lakers won.

What’ll the excuse be this year: “Traveling, but not having fans there was off and some teams really benefited from that.”

Last I checked: Celtics were not in the NBA Finals.

Lakers.
LWO.
Lakers in 4.

:blessed:

maybe its like working from home vs the office, same shyt to me.
That's actually the perfect analogy.. Cause we know some people work the same... And some are chilling at the desk with a glass of wine, the music loud, the playstation on, watching a movie and fukking off

He full of shyt

if guys was playing freely u should have taken advantage of that and won a chip
Which brings me to my next point...........

Why do y'all keep saying "easy" and "then he should win" or "take advantage"... He said they played more freely.. As in, not as focused and set like they normally do. Dudes was out there playing to the point that other people noticed them. Tatum wasn't the only one saying it. You see the clip a few people agreed. Again.. Other players have said it. Hell... Lebron said it was the hardest season BECAUSE it was so hard to keep focus in there

“If you were not in the bubble, you don’t quite understand it. You will never, ever understand how hard it was to win that championship, to motivate yourself. This is literally out of your whole comfort zone. I didn’t see my family for eight and a half weeks, I didn’t see my kids until I got out of the bubble, 96 days.”

Again.. These dudes are like at home workers but actually REALLY quarantined.. Y'all really can't imagine a bunch of millionaires getting a little bored? Going out in the game and fukking off... Doing shyt they wouldn't do at a regular game.... Chucking up shots or extra dribbles or playing hero ball? Or a Paul George, trapped in their head, depressed?

They are normal people like everyone else. How many more players are going to have to say that shyt was completely different, before y'all believe it?
