to the bolded: not entirely true. Look at Kenny Atkinson in Brooklyn. He doesn't have much to work with, and despite the W-L, people are saying he does a good job because he's getting good results from unexpected players. He's making the most of what he has and inherited a crappy situation, so you say, "watch when he gets talent." Same with Brad Stevens when he got to Boston. You didn't need big time talent to know he was a good coach.
Every team has their reason for their decision. For as much as Wizards fans aren't fond of Brooks, they REALLY aren't fond of their GM Grunfeld. You think Pelicans fans don't like Gentry? They REALLY don't like Demps. It's on your owner to decide if he wants to clean house and revamp the long term vision of the team, but if he's doing that every couple of years, your franchise ain't shyt.
