Regarding Naito's future activities as a wrestler, the wrestler himself and New Japan Pro-Wrestling have been in discussion and seriously considered. As a result, Naito and New Japan Pro-Wrestling have agreed that the wrestler contract between the two parties will not be renewed or extended after the day after the Fukuoka tournament on Sunday, May 4th.

This is a decision that Naito made after careful consideration of his future, so all of us at New Japan Pro-Wrestling send him off warmly and, together with all of our fans, pray that he will continue to achieve even greater success.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to Naito's fans, New Japan Pro-Wrestling fans, and the many other people involved for the concern and inconvenience caused.

As announced, Naito will be competing in the Fukuoka tournament on May 4th, so we would appreciate your support.

We kindly ask for your kind understanding.

Huh. You would think that, with his knees basically jelly at this point, he'd choose to retire in NJ instead of making an "old man tour" of smaller indies. Ingobernable until the end.

Bushi is leaving too, wow.

CMLL is probably where he goes, if he goes anywhere at all. In addition to his knees being completely shot, aren't his eyes terrible enough to needing multiple surgeries just to kind of see?

Wow I know dude body is shot but this really abrupt...you would think he would hold on to the dome and make the show a end of era/spectacle type of super show.

I know dude supposedly doesn't like America but I wonder if dude is trying to get paid by TKO or TK :manny:

Yeah, unless taking a year off really does wonders for his health, it's kind of hard picturing Naito having a 2nd wind or revival of his career.

I just hope jreh has enough money to stay at home and get healthy before he decides to go back into the ring, if he actually wants to do it of course.

Kinda crazy how the company is back to 2005-2006 status but for completely different reasons. Goto is the only one that can fulfill Nagata's role during those days....which is fukking :mindblown: if you think about it.

NJ is about to be 2025 NOAH/AJ level and the only thing saving them is AEW guys that left coming back to do favors to keep them alive. :sadcam:
