I've always been intrigued by that, since puro shows often have small attendances.

One post I read somewhere else said most wrestlers in the big companies have jobs in the office too to compensate the small pay. Also they depend on "very generous fans" (Money marks). Some have external businesses (Toru Yano's Ebrietas bar is an example) and such.

Don't know how much of that is true, though.
Yano must be slanging that heroin as a side hustle

Tetsuya Naito is a free agent, but the market isn't looking robust for him.

The 42-year old has battled injuries in recent years, to the point that those that we spoke to in NJPW and WWE said that even if WWE were interested, they had concerns that Naito would be able to pass WWE physicals.

Sources in AEW said that they would "be surprised" if AEW offered Naito anything beyond occasional appearances when things fit.

Most that we spoke to in NJPW believed that he could still make occasional appearances, but that a lot of it will come down to money. Some that are familiar with Naito believe that he will try his hand at NOAH.

The last 2 years or so of Destinos have been brutal to see. Every bit as brutal as the last 2 years of slingblades where Tana has one foot on the mat the whole move.

"With the two departures, attention has turned to the future of L.I.J., one of the industry’s most popular units. While no concrete plans have been set, Takahashi stated, “I’m staying with NJPW. I’m thinking positively about pursuing what I want to do. L.I.J. has always been a group of uncontrollable individuals, so I don’t know what’s next, but I’m planning to put some of my ideas into action.”

However, Takahashi also criticized NJPW’s response. The departures of Naito and BUSHI were announced separately on the 16th, with noticeable differences in the length and tone of the statements. “Even if their exits were different, I thought, ‘Isn’t there a better way to handle this?’ Just say, ‘Thank you, and good luck.’ If the person who wrote those statements acted on fleeting emotions, NJPW won’t change. To me, those were the worst statements,” he said, visibly frustrated."

Tana might need to get the boot from the office
