So Fightful saying WWE has been interested in signing Hikuleo for months. So this could very well explain the loser leaves Japan stipulation for that match vs. Jay White.
:mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:
That’s a odd signing with all this talent out here on the Indy scene and they chose the greenest mofo on njpw roster :russ: :russ:

I mean, Narita never truly left Japan. Shota went from "next Ace" to disappearing from a New Japan ring for 3 fukking years :smh:

Narita trained in the LA Dojo. Even in late 2019 he was having matches with Ibushi in the USA and the crowd was chanting his name as a young lion.

That's my point, Narita stayed in the New Japan system. Yes, he was the standout of the LA dojo once it opened but he debuted in 2017 with Shota and was always lauded as part of the promising prospects coming out of the 2016-2017 classes with Oka (O-Khan), Kitamura and Umino.

I makes sense he has more fan support because he's actually been working in Japan both in 2020 and 2022. Shota has been completely out of the loop for 3 straight years.

I think he is ahead of Shota in terms of in ring progression and fan approval.

Yeah the crowd was behind Narita heavy in comparison to Shota

I wonder if Narita being a shibata successor has contributed to that

Shota will be fine though I’m sure
