The botched ending of the AEW deathmatch inspired Onita to bring back FMW once again :laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

Some things never change.

Oh, and Japan's probably just going to have to take the loss on the Olympics. I can't imagine the costs that would be involved in postponing it twice and holding it in 2022 (hell, I can't imagine what the costs of managing a games this year would be...).

I'm an Ospreay fan and I wouldn't call it the greatest match ever. But it was five stars or more if your rating system goes higher.

Ospreay and Takagi have a pool of matches together and with other people that are amazing and this one with the drama of not knowing who would win, the hard hitting strikes, the counters to counters, and what was at stake puts this close to the top of each of their lists.

Definitely one of the matches of the year.

A lot of tsc hates Ospreay but that boy has been on a tear this year....his matches with Shingo, Ibushi, Okada, ZSJ :whew:

Just watched, it was a good match but Meltzer is biased and it’s not even funny. It’s time to throw his ratings system in the bushes.

He clearly prefers these types of matches to the WWE heavy storytelling style. I’ve never heard him rave about a non nxt wwe match.

That's been known for decades though. It's one of the reason why it's baffling people continue to get into arguments over what he rates high when it's pretty clear what's the kind of wrestling he considers above others. And that's fine, the dude can like what he likes. It's fans that gotta let that shyt go :heh:

What WWE matches should he be raving about?

I think that Roman and Jey uso I quit match was 5 stars off storytelling alone.

Bianca Belair and Sasha was pretty good at mania. He just never talks about WWE in a good light. That’s all I’m saying.

He likes high drama athletic spotty matches. You can go through the earliest of his 5 stars ratings and see that's the case for whatever that meant in its time. Slow story and character based matches that don't have a lot of big exciting spots have never been his thing.

So ya'll don't think Ospreay vs Takagi was an amazing match with drama over the top prize in the company? That's the story there. No need for fabricated shyt, just hard hitting, drama filled competition over the top prize :dahell:

I liked the match. I’m just saying Meltz doesn’t recognize any other type of match as being great. There is more to wrestling than flips and athletics. The storytelling is a big part of wrestling

I'm not talking about the match. My reply was to breh talking about Meltzer and his rating when to me, getting into an argument about what Dave likes or rates is not worth it.

I haven't seen the match, I don't think I will. If you Thought it was great, that's awesome breh.

But how many actual flips was in the Ospreay-Takagi match? A couple inverted frankenstein attempts but I can't remember too much flippy shyt. I think some people still think this is the Ospreay from 2016-2017, but he is on some other shyt now. He's dishing out strong strikes and power moves now.
