Offically IN on New Japan once again since Wrestlekingdom :blessed:

Did not know there was a 20 count and that it was like that in the 70s.

JR and Striker dropping knowledge.

Vince really is an assclown for thinking he couldn't merge his brand of sports entertainment with this style of purity of pro wrestling which is actually progressive and in line with how obvious MMA has been growing the past 15 years.

Coke Boy stay taking L's.

Thread is popping :to: Good to see :obama:

Fanastica Mania up next. For newer converts this is a yearly tradition where a bunch of CMLL dudes come over and mix it up with the regulars (and each other). Not as important as the major shows but always worth watching for the uniqueness and the shows are usually straight up fun. Rey Cometa vs. Barbaro Cavernario is one to look out for. Should be an excellent introduction/exhibition of lucha.

Live on NJPW World
1/18 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall (early Sunday morning U.S. time; 4:30 a.m. Eastern; 1:30 a.m. Pacific)

Jushin Liger & Angel de Oro vs. Tomohiro Ishii & Yoshi-Hashi

Tiger Mask vs. Gedo

Kushida & Triton & Rey Cometa vs. Okumura & Barbaro Cavernario & Mr. Niebla

Captain New Japan & Mascara Don (Manabu Nakanishi) & Mascara Dorada vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Tetsuya Naito & La Sombra

Volador Jr. vs. Gran Guerrero for NWA welterweight title

Mephisto vs. Stuka Jr. for Mexican national light heavyweight title

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Stigma & Mistico vs. Kazuchika Okada & Shinsuke Nakamura & Polvora

Atlantis vs. Ultimo Guerrero

1/19 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall (4:30 a.m. Eastern; 1:30 a.m. Pacific time)

Kushida & Tiger Mask & Jushin Liger & Stuka Jr. vs. Gedo & Yoshi-Hashi & Tomohiro Ishii & Okumura

Captain New Japan & Triton vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Tetsuya Naito

Stigma & Angel de Oro vs. Gran Guerrero & Mephisto

Rey Cometa vs. Barbaro Cavernario

Mistico vs. Polvora

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi & Volador Jr. & Atlantis vs. Kazuchika Okada & Shinsuke Nakamura & Mr. Niebla & Ultimo Guerrero

Mascara Dorada vs. La Sombra

And some matches for the next big shows:

NJPW The New Beginning In Osaka 2-11-15 (NJPW World)

IWGP Title: Tanahashi vs AJ Styles
Tag Titles: Shibata & Goto vs Doc & Anderson
Jr Title: Taguchi vs Kenny
Jr Tag Team Title: reDragon vs TimeSplitters vs YoungBucks

NJPW The New Beginning In Sendai 2-14-15 (NJPW World)

IC Title: Nakamura vs Nagata
NEVER Title: Makabe vs Ishii
NWA Title: Conway vs Tenzan
NWA Jr Title: Liger vs Owens

And apparently this is the number one best seller in merch at the moment

Did anyone watch New Year's Dash? How was it? How would you compare it if WK9 is Wrestlemania? Is NYD like a Saturday Night's Main Event?

Still working through WK9.

New Year Dash was a normal Korakuen show. A lot of multi-man matches. The special thing is, it establish new feuds and matches for the next event.

In any case, it was a good wrestling show, of course. MILES better than last night's Raw:scust:

The Traps of Unified Korea
Watched it earlier. AJ won over K-Hall forever in the MiSu match. Chanting for him over Tana :wow: That's AJ-Hall now :mjcry:

Also, according to brehs who speak the language, Japanese commentators put over the middle rope Styles Clash as a sort of Burning Hammer-level world-ending, God tier finish.
