Brehs........ :wow:

So I linked up with one of my brehs who is HEAVY into NJPW and I was talking about how I wanted to get into it. We had talked about AEW a bit before, so he started me off with Wrestle Kingdom 11. His reasoning was and I quote "need to put you on that good shyt first before I give you some drywall bull :jawalrus: " I'm think ge just gassing but I'm like fukk it let's dive in.

First two matches almost put me to sleep. He fukked up not giving me backstory on these nikkas because I just didnt care. All he told me was who the face and heel were in all of the matches in the card.

Bucks vs RPG Vice woke my ass right up. At this point, the Bucks style of wrestling has grown on me so I wasn't too annoyed by the setting up of certain spots and then when this dude Trent missed everything and :dead: , that shyt had me like :damn: . This man Rocky really showed the fukk out. Dude began the ultimate babyface comeback, crowd is behind him and then double superkick :mjcry:

Bucks start setting up for the finish and then Nick gets rolled up. Really good shyt coming from the Bucks and Romero. Trent wasn't involved enough for me to care :pachaha:

The next couple of matches aren't bad, but they weren't particularly interesting to me. Cody vs Juice had so go to it, and Cole vs O Reilly could have had a lot more heat if the crowd gave a fukk. Pretty sure no one there watched RoH or even knew who they were it seemed. Next match was very ehhhhh.....

....but.... :wow: ..... brehs wtf :banderas:

... the next hour or so of wrestling was straight :wow: :damn: :mjcry: :banderas:

Takahashi is fukking INSANE. Figuratively, literally, mentally, etc. This dude does not give a SINGLE flying fukk what he does to his body. There were so many times I thought this dude just died, but he'd spring right back up like he just hit another high on his PCP trip :dahell: . Dude jumps off the apron into a damn cross arm breaker. shyt looked sloppy and fukking beautiful at the same damn time. Kishida starts working the arm, slowing Takahashi the fukk down but it just wasn't enough. :banderas: :banderas:

I've always been a fan of high spots, even proclaimed spot monkeys because sometimes I dont need psychology in a wrestling match. This was lowkey a guilty pleasure of mine because once again, Takahashi is a madman.

Next match...... welp.... I guess I've been properly introduced to strong style. Legit night and day between this match and the Kushida/Takahashi match. Holy fukk were these guys hitting the hell out of each other. "Is he dead? :lupe: " was prolly the most used question I kept asking myself. These guys were on some hoss shyt but didnt need to be super heavyweights to do that. This shyt was uncensored violence from start to finish and is another match I'm gonna have to add to the hard drive. :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn: / 5

Naito vs Tanahashi was probably the most sound in terms of storytelling. From the prematch alone, I could tell Tanahashi was supposed to be :flabbynsick: . These guys looked to wrestle the same, but Naito was just quicker and more crisp with the shyt he did. However, even though he looked slower, this dude Tanahashi was still MOVIN. Dude looks better at 40 than a lot of guys. Conditioning has to be on some crazy shyt. Will probably need to rewatch this match down the line once I go back a bit and get the backstory on these two and also because the last two matches pretty much drained me.

I watched the main event when i had some downtime from work this morning and..... :wow:

I really dont know where to begin with this match. This was the perfect example of slow build and even when I ended up getting to the high spots in the match, the shyt that followed still topped it. Okay, I'm a believer in Kenny Omega now. I never gave him a fair chance, never really gave NJPW a fair chance because I just saw him being goofy and was like "this dude is the hottest thing there rn? :camby: " He was on a completely different level than everyone else on the planet in this match. He looked perfect. There wasn't wasted movements. It might be unique to him at this point, but the way he could just turn up out of fukking nowhere was :banderas: . Okada would try to slow shyt down on some :whoa: , but Kenny would pick it back up like

The double foot stamp into the table onto Okada woke me up and I was already hyped up like :dahell:

That fukking bicycle knee he does is straight :banderas: status. He doesn't actually hit them flush (?) But he is close enough to make it look like they ate all of that shyt. He is almost HBK-like in the way he is able to hide the thigh slap from the camera so you just hear the echo and its :damn:

I think I was at the 30-40 minute mark when I realized how long I had been watching because it felt legit like maybe 10 minutes had passed. Pace has slowed down considerably, I'm thinking they are winding down to the finish. They're trading blows in the center of the ring and then Omega hits a high, ducks under an elbow, fukking hits a real stiff-looking snap half-nelson suplex, bounces off the ropes and straight up knocks Okada the fukk out. When Okada turned his shoulder up and kicked out, I was honestly exhausted. Then the next 10 minutes happened and I was done with wrestling for a good hour or so because shyt was piff and i didnt need anymore. Only gripe i have is I wish there was a way for Okada to make the Rainmaker look more stiff, but then again, shyt already has some impact on it so :manny:

All in all? :banderas:

I need an NJPW shirt now.

Welcome :blessed:

No wonder nikkas been stanning him heavy here. :wow:

You need to go back to the genesis of this version of the character. It was a really entertaining arc to get him to this point. The amount of trolling he used to do was :lolbron:

Man was coming down to the ring and standing in the corner, masked up, motionless for a good five minutes like

It was :ohhh:to watch the crowd reactions slowly turn from :stopitslime:when he first started doing it to :dahell:to :mjlol: and finally :blessed:

Double Talk and his little buddy are saying there's a huge story coming out of Japan, big enough they're going to do a whole show about it....their sources are trash in Japan so surely if there's big news some of you dudes already know what's up

WK's press conference is tomorrow so I wouldn't be shocked if we hear an announcement for the AEW partnership or big news in general regarding those two shows.

I mean, look at this is summary of current theories

Fujinami da gawd back :wow:

:laff:

The IC gets shytted on so consistently. From Naito throwing it all over the place, to Naito not giving a flying fukk about it (only to keep wrestling for it 2 years after that fact) to Okada being :manny: about winning it.

Yeah

Tenryu retired after the Okada match

Inoki faced Don Frye (and his last "fight" was an exhibition against Renzo Gracie).

And God's first retirement :wow:

FOREEEVEEEEER :bryan:

Most wrestlers don't even have retirement matches though, they just keep going until they turn into dust.

Appearently WWE is gonna announce NXT Japan.

Good fukking luck with that one :mjlol: :mjlol:

I hope every old dude cons them to death because the only thing a new promotion in Japan is gonna do is make a couple of wrestlers some money before folding :dead:

I need Onita to lead the charge and get a legends contract or something :russ:or even more hilarious, Hall Of Famer Antonio Inoki being the liaison between NXT Japan and WWE
