God, WWE re-opening IGF as NXT Japan with GM Inoki :ahh:

I don't see any way NXT Japan works. There's already a million shytty indies in Japan that have audiences of 150. Not even hardcores in Japan give a shyt about it, expecting American fans to give a shyt about freelancers who do mid card matches in Zero One and BJW in 2019 :mjlol:

All I could think of is like....co-opting or outright buying AJPW or NOAH or something and letting them run it and promote it as AJPW/NOAH in Japan and airing it as is as NXT Japan for the Network and send dudes over for tours.

Rumor going around is that Big Japan and Sendai Girls are involved.

WALTER putting in the good word for his mentor :wow:

We about to get big budget death matches :blessed: ...in front of 3,000 people at Sumo Hall :mjlol:

Yuji Okabayashi about to break down physically just reading the WWE schedule :mjcry:

In all seriousness though, I don't really buy the rumor. Big Japan is a horrible choice for a partner. At least someone like Wrestle-1 has the novelty of Mutoh.

Liger's retirement is a ruse. The day after New Years Dash he's gonna unmask and be the face of NXT Japan, followed by YOSHI-HASHI and the returning Captain New Japan, now Captain NXT :wow:

Old Double Talk is saying that WWE tried and failed to buy NOAH and use it as a basis for NXT Japan.

If Vince was a master storyteller who needed these pieces to make his vision work, that's one thing, but his greedy old White man 'have to stick my nose in everywhere' outlook absolutely repulses me, at this point. I'm glad NOAH had the sense to tell him to kick rocks.

They pretty much gutted the British indies for NXT UK, then wheeled Pete Dunn out to say 'Wait, guys - this is actually a good thing ...'

Ron Howard: "It wasn't"

Same for Triple H as an exec. As far as new talent - He doesn't really appear to have much insight when it comes down to it - he mainly just goes after people who are already over in smaller promotions and then takes a photo pointing at them.

Breh, now that you mention it. That’s pretty spot on and hilarious at the same time

That's the entire Cruiserweight Classic/ Mae Young Classic gameplan - Lowkey, Saber and Ibushi exposed the fukk out of it by not signing. Saber stays with a dope match and a fire promo, as well as being a link between Rev Pro and NJPW and Ibushi is about to headline The Dome, when they would have probably just given him a developmental contract and stuck him on 205 Live.

WWE buying NOAH or AJPW would genuinely bum me out a bit, to think of the Baba/Jumbo/Misawa/Kobashi/Hansen/Funks and so on legacies being in the hands of Vince :francis:

However if that led to classic AJ/NOAH content on the Network :ehh:
